If any normal member made a trade for over $500 and ignored/refused to pay for over 3 months, would they be given such leniency? If Xel is SO busy that it takes him over 3 months to handle his debts, then I highly doubt he should be wearing the staff rank.

Additionally, it seems as though a replacement has already been found (grats Rohail : P), as such, I do not see why a member continues to be a staff member when they have open issues such as the ones linked above.

I have nothing against the guy really, but its just ridiculous because if he did not have a mod rank, he would have been permed immediately. Hopefully it gets resolved. Cheers.

 

That's what I mean when I say that we are not treated equally. If one is not liked in the forum, he/she will get banned on the smallest thing where as someone who is liked would not.

 

Wouldnt necessarily agree, I feel as if staff does a pretty good job (FireZ rapes RaSc), however I just dont see why Xel is given so much leeway is all I guess.

24 hrs now, hope I see him online on 3rd shift tonight to get it all cleared up. I am banning him tomorrow night if its not fixed as we don't need to take anymore bad publicity either.

 

Yeah, I was looking through RaSc yesterday and I saw both Xel reports and wondered wtf is up with this. Honestly, 3 months, I think it deserves a perm, at least until the money is payed back. (it would get one for most people...)

Agreed on this. Seems as though JT is being realistic and somewhat fair about it being handled shortly, so no complaints from me as I trust his judgement.

 

It's bad enough he waited a week with the 3 digit, but a whole 3 months with the pictures?

That's just not acceptable.

 

I honestly never see XceL scamming but its not like history won't eventually repeat itself. I know hes busy but he needs to take 30 minutes of his life and get this sorted out. I can temp ban him for up to 2 years as well.


EDIT - Took me a 2nd glance o realize we were working with $500 as well....

Looks like it was done. But I fail to see why that guy would wait 3 months to file a $500 scam report.

 

I was going to post the exact same thread.

The problem I see is, he's only going to re-pay back the person after a scam report. If he never made the scam report, he would of just keep the money and continually ignore the buyer. So if he can get away with scamming somebody he will do it and probably lie like he does with everything.

 

Well he will be demoted shortly I imagine since he has been of 0 benefit to the site lately, so next time he tries something like this he wont be given the benefit of the doubt perhaps?

The $500 was about a week.

 

To be honest it seems like xel has just scammed. If he had the stuff ( although im not experienced in steam/dig trading ), he would have given it right away after receiving this lump sum of payment ( $500 ).

I don't know how long a steam/dig trading takes but it doesnt seem like it will cost alot of time. I feel that xel gave into his temptations... Furthermore there were alot of threads complaining about him too.

 

It is nice to see the Sythe staff are deciding to take some action on this. Xel should be devoting everyone moment he has online repaying what he owes.

 

The $500 trade doesn't have nearly enough proof to be considered. If more proof can be provided, then maybe something can be done.

As for the $15 trade, I will give xeleration a few more days.

 

3 Months. I think he's had more than enough time. If not to make the pictures, at least to refund the guy. No non-staff member would ever get a time extension. No, just a perm.
