What is the best item to buy to prepare for new updates

I myself have been stocking up on lobster. Im hoping to make a 100% profit. (Being that they are ~180gp and are likely to end up around 360gp)

Some stuff will drop, but items commonly used in pking will rise. I'm guessing spec weapons like ddp++ and claws and ags will rise, in addition to food and pots like super restore, sara brew, sharks, rocktails, ect.

 

good topic. the best and safest would be food like shark lobs monks. but also all wepons will basically go up.

Ranarrs!!!!!!!!!!!! no really they are already rising, I myself bought several thousand already and it took all day to buy those for max, prayer pots are already through the roof in World 2, I am expecting to profit the full 5% rise tonight on my 128mil investment in ranarrs tonight.

With old wilde back, the protect one item prayer will once again be your saviour, and nobody likes losing claws cuz there a cheap ass and didn't bring a prayer pot, so they will be one of the primary items to have for every player, rich or poor, high or low level, nobody want's to lose your protected item and tbh, no-skulling is boring and if your tricked into skulling, your screwed. I am most likely selling my ranarrs after a few price updates just for a few quick bucks, just in case I'm wrong, no reason to start off the New Year with 100mil + in garbage non-sellable items (although I highly doubt this will be the case).

Another thing to think about free trade, in old times, having any resource item in bulk was a commodity, before the GE you could'nt just throw up 90k maple logs to buy for max and have the materials for 99 firemaking the next morning, you had to hunt down people who had the logs, normally several people at that to obtain them all. If you did get lucky enough to find that bugger who had 1 million maple logs just for kicks, I guarentee he wouldn't let them go for a low price, because he knew how much time he was saving you by letting you get all you needed in one easy transaction, but you were willing to pay more to save time, that time could be better spent getting more xp or gaining more gp anyhow, so its a win-win for you both.

With the above in mind, obtaining alot of any resource will be lucrative I believe. I have also obtained over 100k of gold ore so far, and I noticed it was buying with gp back yesterday, and today it took all day to just buy a few thousand more, so I'm not the only one thinking this. Resources are where the money is at, resources and pking supplies will make you rich, just make sure you don't get stupid and collect alot of something easily obtainable or store-bought. (e.g. don't go buy 1k climbers expecting them to go for 100k, they sell for 75k or 76k in the store, so don't burn yourself on your own stupidity or impulse ideas please, as other's have stated update isn't even here yet, you have time!
