Trade Limit is being lifted - Discuss GP Prices

hey just to let people know trade limit shall be lifted the voteing system on runescape is bogus they have already planned to bring it back and have the update ready to introduce but as jagex is a bussniess the will introduce it at the right time to make sure yhey gain a shed loads of money

so atm i wouldent bother buying gold from anyone at this time as price of instant gold will drop dramaticly as its not the gold worth 1.25-1.8/mill its the xfer meathod gold instantly its worthless you will easly be able to pick it up for a third of what they charge now at ease by january jagex will reliese the update so gold prices will fall then buy as they will be so much cheaper

if you think this is true and will save you cash thanks me lol

 

Not really, Gold prices will not drop.
People pay now $1.5 a M why not after the update then it will be easier for them to buy the money so more people will buy.

 

becuase its the xfer meathod thats worth the cash because its hard to xfer people chrage high prices after update it will be instant all the cash you want in seconds

meaning xfer is useless the meathod is worthless so why will people pay xtre for a xfer meathod to be used when they can get it instantly ask anyone its the xfer meathod that cost you the money

 

Keep it quiet maybe? if runescape admins know that we are ready to sell gold like mad, they will say "oh sod it" and not bring wildy out either.

You think prices will drop? Before trade limits gold used to be like $10/mil.

 

Just before the limit, gold prices averaged $3.5. Don't inflate.

 

prices will drop since it will get much easier to transfer. alot less effort collecting/selling

Yeah, it'll drop, since after the trade limit there was lots of bots available.

 

I don't see why you think they'd drop. I think they'd raise. People pay more for faster x-fer's and such.. All I know is they won't stay the same.

 

More ppl will buy, since you dont need a stranger to login on your account. I think the price will more or less remain the same.

 

Gold will fall to 50-80 cents per mil. Why? There is more supply than demand. Right now, there are thousands of mils sitting on accounts of people unable to move them. What will happen when trade limits are removed? They will be able to sell them finally.

Some people cite gold prices before g.e. being $3.50 or more, as evidence that gold prices will go up. Gold prices were high before g.e., simply because there was less gold out there. With the introduction of the g.e. came merching clans, and people artificially driving up the wealth of various items. The wealth has become more concentrated as well.

Predict a flood of gp sellers after the trade limits are removed. I myself will be selling gold at 80 cents per mil or less, unless miraculously, there is enough demand to warrant charging a higher price. But I doubt it

 

I wouldn't be surprised if the gold prices fell with the introduction of the free trade limit initially, but as more old players come back and more people will see that the prices of item have gone up. People will want to buy these items so that's where we gp sellers come back in.

Basically I predict that there will be a dip, but only temporarily. Prices will gradually climb back to what they were pre 2008 and during the time without trade limits. Inflation, depreciation, what ever you like to call it, but things will change, no-one as yet knows for definite what will happen though. Will Jagex introduce a new Rwt detection? If they happen to do so, then prices of GP will sky rocket again. For better or for worse, I'll stand by.

 

Gold prices will go up due to free trade limit. I am 99% sure on this.
Surely a few sellers will be cheaper at the start, but we'll see.

 

price was actually higher without the trade limit. gold sellers usually went for $2-3 per mill.

 

What you guys have to take into account is why gp was more before than?
The simple answer is there was alot less of it in the game, awarding pvp statues in bh/pvp made a huge difference to the amount of the money in game. Also as stated above there are thousands of mils sitting on seperate accounts waiting for this opertunity.
So in the long run gp prices will go up as long as the pvp/bh minigame is removed when the old wilderness is reintoduced. But short term wise expect prices to fall.

 

Which is NOTHING compared to all the items people lost in pvp and bounty hunter. You almost never got an expensive item as a drop so most of it dissapeared.

 

I have accounts that have 100m+ on them and I am waiting for this day like no other ! Ive been looking for a transfer method that I dont lose most of my money for so long, or someone to transfer it for .5/m but no luck. I have a total of 400m+ spread out on account and want it all on my main/skiller.

 

Yes but... You lose items not gold peices, the loot you recieve is of an increased value of the items you lose, unless your unlucky. Although, those dds dm's make a nice profit/gp lost ratio.

 

depends on the demand and the supply, if deman high and supply is low it may rise to 4.00USD per mills but if both are the same then it will drop untill 1.00/m or even 0.75/m depends on the supplu part.

 

The way I see it without the limit gold was around $3.50/m

But there is so much more gold in the game now. TONS MORE!
