20k-25k votes an hour is bad?

Its not bad when you think about the fact that, 20k votes p/h means 1/5th + of the players playing voted (the other 4/5 probably already voted)

 

My theory along with many other threads supporting this is that they see an opportunity to release the wild back and give the vast majority what they want. Restoring the Runescape name while profiting and looking like they care what they player base thinks. Personally I think its coming out no matter what, I doubt they would stir up so much commotion during the holidays to just f us over.

 

Deep down I believe this also, although I feel as if I still have some doubts... Jagex has screwed us over in the past....

 

They have, but to me I fell as if they do screw us they can say bye bye to runescape. They have all the old players back being re-interested in this game. So many games haven't fulfilled the old thrill of runescape pking. And runescape was a notable game because of it. I think with there "new ways" of catching macro users (which you can't deny botting has become more difficult, on top of they say they have a big new way to catch botters) they see an opportunity to breath life back into the game and restore it to its former glory.

 

I don't think they could offer us something this big and then say wait no, we've changed our minds.

They will lose a lot of paying customers.

Yeah that is what they are trying to do, get a large population of people to come back and start paying money for membership.

They are giving something to us but they are also gaining.
