I need help with a gaming system!

Hey guys,


So...its Christmas tomorrow and I can begin to start saving money for my 'gaming system'.

I am not the greatest person with specs and whats the best value for money. I am looking for a reasonable gaming system which would tie in with price and decent specs!

I can't really raise $3,000 or anything because I'm 17 years old and I do a full time college course in the UK. I don't have a job so its going to be hard enough to save for it!

I'm looking for a decent gaming system with 2 screens, please help!

I think you should have a look around in your local hardware stores and ask about it.

 

Okay thanks dude, I will look around hardware stores and stuff but I thought I'd ask you guys first because its 2:37am in the UK.

 

PLEASE for the love of god do not buy an alienware computer. You pay for the visuals, what you get in terms of performance for the price is very bad.

I'd suggest custom building your computer, if you aren't confident enough in doing this, then I'd recommend buying a computer from www.ebuyer.com

If you need help choosing one let me know, I just need to know what you want to be able to do on it to help you chose a good one for a low price.

Building your own rig is so much better(price wise etc).
There are tones of guides on the net for building them. And it's basically lego. xP

Well basically, I'll be using it for Ultima Online, World of warcraft and Runescape if the wildy + trade comes back

 

Give me a budget (In GBP if you're UK) and I'll see what I come up with.

Also let me know if you want to build it yourself or buy pre-built.

 

Around £800 but maybe £1000.

and I will go for the cheapest alternative with building or pre built but I'd prefer to build it myself so its cheaper

I'll be starting from scratch apart from the mouse and keyboard because I'm using a laptop atm.

Note the OS can only be installed on ONE motherboard since it's OEM. And shipping costs adds up more(Idk what they are or if there is any).
I used the £1000 budget because there was a monitor and everything included.
