Whats staking

So I played RS back when they had the old wildy and no trade limit, but I was only a young lad. So may I ask, What exactly is staking? Whats the point of it, and what is a good "staking" account.

 

Duel Arena, people staked phats, hundreds of mills ata time.
Pures would be good,

80 str
1
90 range
1
94 mage

 

Its when you go to the duel arena, and put your 'stake' or wager. If you win the duel you win the money/stake. A good staking account depends on what your looking for; I have a thread that basically outlines what I think is the best

It was quite the time, people would do an equal stake, then they would fight and take the losers items.

 

Oh wow, yeah I was about 10 when this was going on so I just wanted to get a full understanding. So I hopw the old wildly comes back!

 

So do I, I won/earned around 40M from staking

which really wasn't a lot to people staking phat sets etc.

Staking was the shit. And now that money is Extremely easy to get nowadays, i'm suspecting Staking to be crowded if the update is made.

It's another great aspect to the game that needs to be added back. But if they add it back, they may put it back to members only?

The idea of staking is to risk an item of similar value to your opponents item. You go "double or nothing." The winner of the duel has double, loser nothing.
