the end of merch clans?

will this be the end of them due to free trade because the ge will be different after the update supposedly where you can enter any price for a item. So there will be no ge graphs and crap i heard. :S

Where'd you here the any the any price for an item? I uploaded a screenshot of that. It was a fake one though. I believe there was free trade when g/e was around for a few months. I'm not sure on that, I have heard that though. I doubt the grand exchange will change. If the grand exchange is still around of course there will still be merch clans. Merch clans just buyout the item and raise it. I don't see why that would change because of free trade.

 

If I remember correctly, free trade was around with the GE for like 3 days to a week.

The g.e. was added somewhere in November 2007, while free trade was removed in January 2008. So free trade existed along with the G.E for around 2 months.

 

Why would it? g.e will be fine it wont be removed.

 

merch clans wont need to merch they will just trade of there rich accs >.<

 

Money would be easy. No need for a Merchandiser.

 

i dought that this will be the end of merching because people will still need to make money to be able to sell it. just my opinion

yes you are exactly right it was aprox. 3 months after g.e. came the free trade left. i remember it well the g.e. was a major update that was amazing but taking free trade away ruined it...

 

It might not be the end of merch clans but it will be the end of manipulating the G.E

Is that how it used to be? I don't think it did, but I don't know. If it used to be like that then yeah, merch clan will be useful. I doubt g/e will work like that though. I don't know how it was though.

 

For some reason I don't remember g.e being like a auction house but from the pictures of mod mark answers questions in his clan chat that's what it sounds like they are gonna do.

 

That's not how it used to be, but how it probably will be.

The two months of ge + free trade already had fixed prices set, you could just trade over them. The little price gauge at the bottom of your trade screen appeared, but you could still trade over it.

It was for people to get used to fixed prices, but to allow them to become accustomed to losing their free trade rights at the same time.

 

Maybe small groups will come together and merch rares, I have no idea.
