Are 20 Def pures good?

He Guys i got a 20 def pure, Its 60 80 20.
All 1 prayer 1 mage atm :/ But i'm going to train it.
Do you think i should start a new one, or does the 20 def not matter?!

20 def = initiate.

Means it's kinda useless if your prayer is 1.

 

I'm going to train prayer.. WHAT IS BEST TYPE OR PURE FOR PKING?!

 

Basically rushers. But if you wanna make it into an init pure make sure you get the quest done and prayer up.

 

What about zerkers?!

 

Did you quest all the defense exp? Do you plan on getting the gloves? etc etc. Lots of requirements but zerkers are decent.

 

Have you completed Nature Spirit for the defence xp?
I saw somewhere (can't remember which picture it was) that Jagex will be removing the possibility of receiving PvP armour and weapons as a possible drop from killing a player. They said they will probably make the armour obtainable elsewhere, but it will be more rare/expensive.
Because of this, it will be more expensive for 20 Defence pures to use corrupt PvP armour when pking, and they will have to resort to using mithril/initiate armour once again.
They will probably still be affective, just not as good. Because of this, I would probably say a zerker is a better option.

That is of course, if Jagex DO release the wilderness again.

 

You have a nice acc even without prayer there as long as you have rune gloves. If not, abandon it.

 

I like 20 def pures for the mystic, it's really good for luring but for pking ini pures aren't great i have to admit..

You must have a quested 20 defence pure for it to be useful. The whole point in having it is for the extra initiate armour, which give defence and prayer bonus, and rune gloves.

Turm pures take long to make!

This is all based on you if your 60 80 20 if you have rune gloves then your good if not then quit it.

 

i have an initiate pure and a 1 def pure around the same level, ill i can say is the 1 def pure would rip the init pure up easily

 

Can't do nature spirit without prayer. If anything make it a zerker. Zerkers and rune pures are incredibly fun. I used to have a maxed zerker, just not as fun maxed. Leave the stats how they are just get 94 mage and 40-45 defense. If this is an account to just mess around with while your bored make it a zerker. 20 def isn't fun at all.

 

Could turn it into a turm pure?

 

I have a maxed 30 defence turmoil pure.
if you haven't quested defence, it's junk.
unless you want to make it a zerker.
my turmoil pures stats are as follows:
75 atk 99 str 30 def (all quested) 99 range 99 mage 95 prayer and 99 hp.
it rapes in pvp.
at combat level 100 it truly is a beast.

EDIT: pures are only good these days if you are rushing, or tribriding.
