Future of rares

What do you think the future of rares will be? I'm referring to rares you buy for $ & pay in-game GP, such as a blue party hat.

If we win the vote ( which i understand lots of people are still very unsure about whether its a hoax or not ) will the price of rares increase? I only ask because before, the seller of the rare item, in this case ill use a blue party hat, would get the $$ and the in-game gp, which he could also sell for money. So he's in reality making more then hes actually selling the party hat for if he is also selling his gold. If free trade were to be re-implemented, wouldn't that make the price of rares ( real money ) increase? Or would the overflow of rare & gold sells make it plummet/stay the same.

Looking for some good opinions on this, because I've never been into buying rares.

 

IMO street price is always way inflated because you have to trade junk with some value anyway so the gold price will increase from ge price but dramatically decrease from "street price".

however this would make all variations of sales such as 200m rs gold + more rl cash or 0 gold and ALOT more cash.

it has a possibility of dropping in price just because it would be alot easier to get than trading with 1.5b junk.


all in all jag wont ever actually put free trade or old wildy back in the game anyway.

 

I think phats will crash, they used them only for trading the junk.
After update junk worth nothing. I guess they will drop alot.

 

I was wondering the same thing. I was going to make a new topic. We will also be looking at changing gold prices, etc. I don't think partyhats will change much. They will obviously go up in value on Sythe if the street continues. As to my knowledge the grand exchange isn't changing.. If the grand exchange stays then price manipulation will still be going on. If price manipulation is still going on, then it doesn't really matter. Streets will stay the same. I don't know what's going to happen with the streets. Gold will raise I know that. It's just going to be something we're all going to have to get used to. I voted yes, but after thinking harder about it, I don't want it. I would love the old wilderness back, but I don't think we should get back no trade limit. I don't think streets will change though. Of course the prices will change, but there will still be streets as long as there is a grand exchange.

If somebody that knows pretty well what will happen can post that'd be amazing. I want to know just as much as the next guy. ;D

 

Rare sell's would be fine because they are " rare " and not many are in circulation so people could still sell these items for mabey Veryy cheap or for free depending on what you wanna do . Also you can sell them for Extremly inflate price and then you get the gp instead of the irl cash. But i worry about the G.E what will happen to that ?
