In shocking news, Cliff Lee returns to the Phillies. I really hope the Yankees trade for Zack Greinke; they definitely need a starter.

I knew he was going to return to the Phillies because he likes the atmosphere there, its not all about the money.

 

Well it looks like Philly has a great shot at winning the title this year...

 

It'll be tough getting past the Sock's after their recent trades and signings.

Hamels isn't even close to a 1, the only one he has is one good season.

The Red Sox have the best all-around pitching, that's if they can stay healthy, and if Beckett can rebound.

The phillies now have the arguably two best pitchers in baseball, along with Roy Oswalt and Cole Hamels that can shut people down too.
Josh Beckett is good, but he isnt Cliff Lee or Halladay

 

The year before last their bullpin was without a question the best, but the previous year injuries hurt them alot. In their bullpin, starting rotation, and lineup.

Beckett did win the Cy Young 3 or 4 years back, and has something neither Halladay or Lee has, a World Series Ring. Not to much he has a great post-season record. So I'd say he's just as good a pitcher as both Lee and Halladay, if not better.

 

He has a ring. That has nothing to do with him being better than them, just being on a better team then.
Also Lee has a good post season record too, he would have a ring, if the Phillies could have played against the yankees.

Not just A ring, but multiple, and it is certainly something Lee has failed to achieve the last two years.
