    Gaining trust?

    Hello Sythe,

As you all can see, I am a relatively new member of this community. Although I joined back in '07, I took a rather lengthy hiatus from RS in general, which explains my inactivity on this forum for years. :)

I'd just like to know how I would be able to gain trust among the members of this community without offering free services and such. Offering services does not deem a member trustworthy, in my opinion, nor do a couple of vouches. I would rather gain trust by other means, without offering any services for the moment.

    Regards, J

You can gain trust by dedicating your time to the site and posting regularly keeping the site active, or you can sell some things.

I don't think there is any way to know if someone is trusted or not unless you have dealt with them before. And even then, someone could have a bad day and decide to scam someone.

Very true. I've been scammed by members who have over 50 vouches.
