Donating your Organs? Will YOU?

Just recently on the news, i've heard if you allow yourself to be donated when you past away. They could use your body to help over 50+ people in need of parts.

I find this to be amazing. Imagine not having done anything amazing in your life. Now comes an opportunity to help so many people when you die. I think it is a sort of redemption. I personally WILL choose to donate my parts. I have sympathy and i love to help others.

Is it weird thinking about it while your alove? Yes it is, knowing that YOU, will be living inside someone else. But that is generally a positive term. It makes the term "He lives inside me, i'll never forget him"(which is one of the stuff in the movies/books that make me go weepy) literally true and correct.

There are of course a lot of people who will troll around or are more religious than me (im agnostic/christian style) that will refuse to help others, but would instead let their bodies rot into waste.

This is my opinion, and my choice. how about yours Sythe?

 

I kinda dont want people cutting me up while im dead and then storing me in a freezer or something. Depends on your religion kinda.

 

I've thought about this, and while I don't like the idea of my body being cut into pieces, I've decided that I will donate my body parts after death. They serve no real meaning to me, and if they can save lives with next to no cost...why not?

You don't need them anymore and you could save lives and make give other people and familys hope. I would as I don't need them when I'm dead.

 

I don't really fancy the idea of my head being used on another person who has lost theirs.

Oh yes organs. However there are non-organ parts that can be used.

However you can edit the "body parts" to "organs" to make it sound better.

The only reason I have ever heard NOT to donate your organs is more of a conspiracy theory than anything. It goes as such:

"I'm not donating my organs because if I happen to be gravely injured, paramedics "ignore" me or treat me with less urgency because they figure, 'Eh, his death will be more valuable than this other person's death.'." Basically, putting yourself on the organ donor's list means that there is incentive for doctors/paramedics to allow you to die, whereas they will work harder to save a person who is not an organ donor. It's kinda like in the Scrubs episode, My Way Home (S5E7), where Turk has to convince a dad to pull the plug on his comatose son because his son is on the heart transplant list.

Personally, I think the argument doesn't hold much water.

Meh i figure why not. Id rather help someone that needs it then just rot away.

 

i think this isn't anything to do with a religion, just donate or not simple as that. i myself rly dont like that kind of things..

 

I support it, for the simple fact that when one of my best friends was on his death bed he got a heart transplant from a organ donar and it saved his life and I saw how it helped his family... So when im dead and gone, please by all means, just dont take my blue eyes. haha

I want to say YES, but I don't feel that I want to be cut up after I'm dead. I think it's selfish, but I can't don't see myself donating my organs.

 

Yes, Indeed I would I am dead if I can make one more person live because I donated my orangs AFTER I'm dead then that would be A okay with me save a life I'll donate my organs if I'm alive if a family member needed it.

 

I think unless your parts are needed urgently, they actually wait a little while until they actually start.

 

In my opinion, whoever hasn't donated should listen to this:

You should donate your organs, or register for your organs to be donated when you die. It WILL help people and WILL save lives. It only takes a bit of your time.

 

Sure am, why not I'll be dead so what do i need them for?

 

I can't imagine myself donating.

However, if it was somebody I love, different situation. I would never donate unless I love the person who is getting the donation.
