Resetted my windows xp, no internet now.

I recently clicked on a virus link and had to reformat my whole computer in order to get rid of it. Now that i have reformatted it, i have no internet access...

I plugged in a wired cable into my computer and it just won't detect it. No, the cables are not faulty or anything...I've read up many manuals on how to set up internet using the internet connection setup wizard but it just doesn't work.

I also am missing of the "2 computers lan logo" and "one computer and signals logo" on the bottom right hand side of my computer. Can someone please help me, i hate using my Mac..

Did you try using a system restore to the time before you clicked on the virus?

Is the lack of internet the only difficult you are facing?

Was there a CD which came with the internet Wi-Fi, etc that you need to use and install the software/whatever for the internet?

What is the model of your motherboard? If it's a Desktop PC of course, or if you're using a Laptop or Netbook, please let us know the model and we can try to help you.

I would recommend reinstalling your entire system. It would save you time :). Did you check if you have any system restore points at all?
