Staff responses to ban disputes.

The reason I do the dispute forum so often is because I enjoy it and I already know why at least 60% or more of those users were banned so I don't have to spend time looking up this or that to decide on things.

Also I am very fair, if a mistake is made I fix it as soon as I see it. I do a lot of it @ work as well to pass time.

Lastly the other Globals are doing other things, its not like they aren't helping me.

 

Okay now you're just being silly, I do not care for whatever reason of their ban I just don't like how rude and rushed the staffs responses are in their disputes.

 

Okay, we appreciate you're feedback and we'll improve upon the misdemeanours we've being making. Thank you for highlighting this issue, the staff appreciate any type of suggestion/feedback that has been well thought out.

 

I will take you thoughts into consideration in the future but some just need to be told.

 

To be honest the way I see it their lucky to be getting a response at all. These people have been banned from sythe for a reason and now they are coming back and wasting staffs time. THEY ALREADY KNOW WHY THEY ARE BANNED AND THAT THERES NO CHANCE OF THEM BEING UNBANNED. If they don't understand that and staff have to tell them go away in order to get the point across so be it.

 

I think the responses are warranted, they know exactly why they are banned, they broke the rules knowing the consequences and they're just time-wasting.

 

They'll just make a new one asking why their original wasn't answered.


and Yes Matt, It does seem pretty aggressive and that when you see just 'Go away', but honestly, The people making the disputes deserve that kind of respect, they're awful human beings, stealing money from others when they're trying to be legit and trustworthy? Even if its not just a scamming ban, they push and they push until they're banned, and soon as they're banned they have a cheek to make several disputes, attempting to catch the members attention because they fill their disputes with lies, which makes the staff look bad.

as HamJam said, We are human, sometimes our own personal feelings blend with our professionalism and moderating, but we get the job done and the scammers/phishers/Etc. are kept away to the best of our ability.

 

Stop kidding yourselves. This isn't the Tax Office, and we're not boring old middle-aged bureaucrats, so let's drop this ''professionalism'' nonsense once and for all. This is a Runescape cheating site, and is overwhelmingly populated with adolescents and children. ''Go away'' is pretty mild as it is; I've said far, far worse to people. Being staff should not mean you have to act like a dull old fuckercunt. Just get on with it.

 

mainly what the mods said are right, most of them do actually deserve it. The responses pisses those liars off and is a good way to get back at them i used to think pen is a major prick too

 

Just because this is a runescape cheating site doesn't mean we have to throw in the towel and act like complete self absorbed orangutans. You don't have to be a professional to everyone Finn but it wouldn't kill you to be nice once and awhile.

Many of those disputing bans are fraudsters, thieves and scam artists, and those that may have a credible case often ignore Dispute Forum rules and waste staff time.

''Go away'' is perfectly moderate and making a thread about it bitching away a few million African babies have just been obliterated is ridiculous. Like you say, it's Christmas. Focus on the good things rather than looking for an excuse to whine.

 

Agreed, Truthfully a lot of moderators around here are plain and simple ignorant as hell & power hungry, Very few people like you, plznate, & some others seem to very helpful, polite, etc. I haven't been here very long(So excuse me if your not mentioned these are just ones I have noticed), & I already see people with power that are complete idiots.

 

I agree and besides, why do we need to be super nice to people who have scammed or broke some other rule? They are banned and don't belong on this site anymore.

 

I disagree, being mean to them will make them stop coming back and posting shit. So FireZ keep doing your thing.

Getting pretty off-topic, Please stick to the original Thread Topic, if you have something to comment about the given feedback, then please do so.

 

I've been on both sides of the plate in these sorts of situations. Yes, I've noticed that members can get really annoying when they're banned or when they're infracted. I myself felt like telling these people who I thought were being annoying and arrogant to go away, they are annoying and technically don't even deserve a polite answer.

The difference being, a polite, kind, informative answer can go a long way. Finn, when you denied my pardon request I was of course upset, but seeing your long, informative and rather polite answer made me feel a lot better then seeing a simple Denied. I know it takes time, but it goes a long way. If a member is continually disputing there ban, then maybe a simple "Go away" is needed, or even better just archive the disputes.

 

I am sorry FireZ, but I think the way you respond to these appeals is harsh, and highly unneeded.

 

You come deal with these morons for a day and we'll see if you still have that same view. This staff works our asses off to get rid of these people and all they do is try to degrade us with lies and waste our time.

 

I'm just ignoring most of the staff's posts since the few I read were the typical type. So excuse me if I say something that has been handled already, or something. The dispute forum is mostly people who should be banned trying to get unbanned through lying, begging, etc. This obviously gets extremely annoying, especially when the user disputes more than once.

There needs to be a level of professionalism amongst the staff. For people who obviously know why they were banned who are just posting dispute after dispute, just archive the thread without response. There is no reason to post anything on these threads, so why do it? For basically all other first time disputes, tell them their ban reason. If they were banned for scamming, just post "You were banned for scamming. Here is proof: Scam report". If this can not happen because there is too much work to do elsewhere, then promote more globals to spread the load evenly.
