ok just wondering about people getting reset

i was just thinking why would jagex just reset peoples stats. if they really wanted to affect botting wouldnt resetting the bank and quests be more harsh. most people who bot 99 str range or mage usually have 50ml+. i dnt see why they dont rape the whole account and just take it back to lvl 3 with 0gp.

anyone want to chuck in there 2cents on the whole resetting thing. i still find in mildly funny that there saying its not them lol

I believe they have been wiping part of their banks.

 

What really confuses me is why they seem to just reset random skills. It's like some guy in JaGeX who just want to fuck with us or something.

jagex probley likes bots in a little way considering most bots have membership lol thats probley why they are reseting lol once u stop putting on membership bam ban hammer. now that would be some funny shit

 

Jagex just wants to put out an image that they are combatting botting. They make alot of money off of accounts that bot, there are quite a lot botted accounts with membership on them. Second, they realize what would happen if they cracked down on botting hard, bye bye stable resource economy.

 

Why give out suggestions? =/ Hopefully this is all they do to botters.

 

I actually had an account with 99 Cooking, and it got rollback'd to 10. I'm still wearing the cape, there's no way I'm taking it off! My bank was totally trashed, mostly just my coins though, I had 50M and now I have nothing. Good fight me.

Exactly. Resetting a botted accounts stats just means that the owner will bot it more to get the stats back up, which means a longer time paying for membership. It always comes down to money.

 

most pures that bot have almost no quests done, hence everybody using combat braces now

 

Somewhere in there I think it mentions that Jagex are rolling back banks too.
