    Defend Your Sport(s)!

Is someone talking shit about the sport(s) you love?! Tell them why their sport< your sport(s)

Similar to the Baseball vs. Soccer thread, but in here you list your sport(s), and try to convince everyone why it's better than the sport they love.

    My favorite sports:
    1. Football
    2. Baseball
    3. Basketball

    Show me why your order>mine

It is hard to convice people why other sports are better than other ones, I am saying there, baseball is my favorite sport, because I have grown up playing it, and I love it. Football on the other hand, I havent.

    Uh...

People argue that football > soccer because football is more of a "manly" sport. Well, in football they have multiple pads, timeouts, and breaks. In rugby there are very limited pads, and little to no breaks. Therefore Rugby is manlier than football, making it better than football.

I don't necessarily agree with that logic, but that's what people commonly give me, so I figured it'd work.

Oops my bad, overlooked Pokerking's list.

    Back on topic
    my list would be
    1. Basketball
    2. Ping Pong
    3. Tennis.

Ping Pong also known as table tennis is a really intense reaction sport. Is it as physicaly demanding as football, rugby, basketball? No. But i believe mentaly it could be just as demanding.

Why didnt i include football on my list? Well i was never too big of a fan of football. Its definitely watchable tho.

Oh come on, Ping Pong just requires good hand to eye coordination.

Football needs that, and you need strength, endurance, etc etc etc. Football is way better than Ping Pong by a long shot.

I play soccer, I think it is the most hardest sport ever. You get a 15 minute break and play 90 minutes, the soccer field is very large, so each player (excluding goalie ) will be running 4-6 miles a game.

You're saying soccer is the hardest sport because the players jog for 80min? That's not really hard for an athlete getting paid millions.

You're not "jogging" for 90 minutes. You're constantly sprinting, and creating plays.

    Soccer is #1.

This. But football (soccer) does require an immense amount of control and pace to be successful. You can't willy nilly toe ball the football and just expect it to go in the net.

    Eh...

You jog around for 90 minutes. Kicking a ball. Most of the play from a player doesn't take up the whole game.

Rugby it is a physical battle. Forwards must be in ever ruck battling for the ball. The game is even stopped, and scrums happen. Much more physical and requires a lot more effort.

I have played both football and rugby. Football the position you play doesn't require you running around like a looney for 90 minutes. Usually you can just 'hover' in your position until the ball comes near to you. Unless you play like a bunch of 10 year olds, all following the ball. Rugby requires a lot more effort, and physical power.
