I have the same feelings. It's hard to believe this will all be over someday. Maybe not for another 80 years but what does that matter, even if life was 800 years, it's nothing compared to eternity. Death is a phase everyone has to go through.

I think I'm going to have a very difficult time getting old.

It does tend to make ones head spin, although... the feeling of death can not be made up by a human being because they have no experienced it. The best way to think of death (if your not religious) is going to sleep, and not remembering the dream.

I don't think it makes my head spin. I decided a long time ago that, as lame as it may sound, I'm gonna do something that people will remember me for. Although it is overwhelming to try and comprehend death, I don't try to.

I see death as the end of consciousness and perception, if that makes sense to anyone.

Whenever I think about it, I get into deep thought.
If we die, then it's black. Then we don't exist, but we did exist. So what happens after? AHH!

Something to maybe think about even more when you're stoned. Try not to freak out though, lol.

I often think... How do I know i'm not lying in some hospital bed in a coma? These could all be the memorys of my life.

But then again, i'm pretty sure I'm here as we speak.

I guess that's kind of off subject, but not much :)

I don't need drugs to have deep thoughts.

However, I do understand what you mean to an extent. Reality freaks me out at times.

I've actually thought about this quite a bit and it scares me about what happens afterward.

"I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it. "
    -Mark Twain

Pretty much sums up my idea of death. If I'm not conscious of the fact that I'm dead when I do die, I have no need to worry about it. All I have to do now is make sure that in the moments before my death I have fond memories to look back on. That's what LIFE is about.

I can't say for sure what happens after death. Good, bad, or neutral, we have to take it all in stride. I'm a go with the flow type of person. I'll question things, and think about them, but if there's nothing I can do to change the outcome, I won't do anything. That's been happening alot lately, and it seems like not just me, to everyone. Look at my country (U.S) for example: As a whole, nothing is going right. Honestly, I hate my life right now. Sometimes death seems like a good thing, not having to deal with all the bs. But in actuality, it's very bittersweet. No more good times, nothing. You don't even know what is going to happen to you.

I don't know my point with that, or where I was going with it. But I don't care. I felt like saying it.

We all have it in common. Death. Why is that? Because we all have a soul. We all will have life after death.

I love bringing God into these things. It just makes it so much easier to understand. Honestly. If you believe that we die and nothing happens...think about it. Nothing happens? That just ruins the purpose of living right there.

Death is just the beginning of another path. It feels lonely solemn and grey to me. But who knows, no one knows till it finally comes to them. And they cant come back to share these feelings.

That is ridiculous. Everyone dies, therefore everyone has a soul?

Why do you think your life is without purpose if there is no afterlife? I see it the other way around. A human lifetime is negligible compared to the supposed eternity of afterlife, so how does your life have any meaning at all if you believe in an afterlife? Make the best of what you have while you have it.

I don't think much about death, I just hope that when I inevitably do die it will be quick. I don't want to fade out in a hospital bed, drugged out of my mind to ease the pain.

Think about if nothing existed. If everything just happened to be nothing. Think deeply about that. I find that more overwhelming.

"We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Sahara. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton. We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA so massively outnumbers the set of actual people. In the teeth of these stupefying odds it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here. We privileged few, who won the lottery of birth against all odds, how dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred?" (Dawkins)

I honestly don't really care too much.

Everyone who I love, will have to die sometime, too.

I accept that it is inevitable, and that I will simply live life accordingly.

Have fun, make friends, enjoy life.

I don't believe in that afterlife bull.

    [From guy above]

That's part of why the reason man invented religion. To feel that they have a purpose, to feel that there is something better than life.

Just because after we die, nothing happens, doesn't mean that what we do when living, doesn't matter.

We leave thing behind on earth, our ideas, our theories, our influence.

    Not nothing.

People argue those who chose religion are idiots, yet those are the people who tend to fear death. I don't fear death, in the least.

I've done this before, and it certainly does shake me. Another similar thing I've done is attempting to understand what it was like before I was born. Not having the answers makes be curious, but I guess you can say I do fear leaving this world and what comes after it. That is, if there's something after it, maybe our brain just dies and there's nothing, maybe there is another place we must go to, my imagination just can't comprehend it.
