Unknown email on acc

Since jagex changed the new unsubcribing ur email method, the guide to take off an unknown email is no longer of use. So my question is, does anyone know how to get an unknown email off of ur acc? PM or post on here! Thanks for any info!

Recover your own account with the "stolen" option. Works really well if you know the current password.

Boom, recovs and email are gone.

 

Yeah, that is what everyone does to remove recoveries before they sell their accounts here on sythe or wherever.

I thought it only removed recovs though?

 

it does only remove the recovs. i just did it yesterday and email is still there =/

If you just try to set a new email, it should tell you that a code has been sent to the old one. If that person does not abort the change within 2 weeks, the email should become yours

 

Heres how to remove the email


• Go to Account >> Account Management >> Email registration

• Login to the website as usual

• Leave the "Current Address" spot blank

• Enter your email address in the "New Address" spot

• Enter the confirmation code sent to your email.

After doing those steps, you will have to wait 14 days for the email to change over. While the hijacker's email address is sent an abort code, they shouldn't be able to enter it as long as your account is secure.

 

Hijacker doesn't need account access to enter the abort code, you just have to hope that he doesn't read his email for 2 weeks

 

Your best bet would be leaving the 'current adress' blank and wait two weeks for it to change.

They need to be logged in to enter the code. I took that from RS forums a Jmod posted it.

 

No one wants to wait 14 days for an email to be removed...the old sythe one had it so u could remove it in 10 minutes. That's what im looking for if there is such a thing anymore.

 

but wont that simply change the email to the new one and not remove it?
or am i missing something
