hacked.

okay so 15mins ago i logged into my main only to see that the bank was entirely gone. clearly, this was a hacking/account theft. The theif killed my main off in pvp, dying with 40m total. I only have 400k now, and im ognna bot back up cause i dont care anymore. But im intrigued on how the account was stolen. I havent downloaded anything except the rsbots client, that was a while ago, and i havent gone to any unsafe links. The hacker got my bank pin too, which i thought was weird. The only place i have put that pin was within my bot client info, and nobody else has used the computer but me. If this is in the wrong section, please and mods/admins, move it. I honestly don't know where else to put it. thanks for your time and answers

 

It could possibly be a ddos attack, try and fine where your last logins were and then yrace it back to that

 

Infected client? Someone see you log-in? You log-in in public places? Anything like that? Sorry to hear it man .

 

Yeah thats strange, I highly doubt that it had anything to do with the bot client. Are you sure no one else was on your computer that possibly don't like you? An old friend - brother - sister.

dude honestly that happened with me, any friends who play who know you who could guess your password or even recovery ?'s or who have been over and you left the bot running and could have dont that?

 

Honestly, if you just left the bot running anyone could go up, wait for it to enter your pin, stop the bot, takeout whatever & die.

Was it a simple pin? Password hacking does happen in RS, but it is odd they had your pin.

Maybe a friend irl that you gave info to?

 

Was the password on the account changed or did it remain the same?

 

it was not by any means a simple pin, at least i think so [not my bday, anyone famous's bday, or significant number/common knowledge] and none of my friends play runescape; also the password ive had for about 3weeks.

 

Have you downloaded ANYTHING from an online friend or have possibly gone to a "runescape" website?

 

You may have followed a false link to what claimed to be the runescape website where when you entered your password linked you to the real runescape.

Yeah, there's your problem. Try to scan your computer for malware every few days.

 

Do you go on the rsbotting forums? A user there used java drivebys to steal hundreds of accounts usernames passwords and pins. I was also hacked by him for well over 200m on Sunday. Was his ip : 173-19-142-106.client.mchsi.com ?

 

I'm sorry...but whoever said DDOS attack is just wrong that doesn't make any sense in this situation. (Pinging your IP a million times wouldn't be useful in hacking your RS account).

If you torrent trojens can often get into your computer. They are sometimes stored and executed from your tmp directory. Also it is possible that you were a victim to a java exploit...Sometimes people post links like check out my new client, and its really a link to a page that requires a java plugin. To say the least it hacks your client and your at there mercy at that point.
