Wow 60% decrease in two days?

not this update but last one the decrease on oyster pearls were a -40% another 20% decrease tonight? is jagex fucking merchers over? wow..

If this really does kill merching, then I say props to Jagex. I didn't think they can do it.

Merching is one of the worst parts about Runescape, imo.

 

one of my friend's was doing this item lol and he lost like 700m the last two updates, needless to say hes mad xD

 

They're just throwing fuel on the fire.
Merchanting is not bad at all.
It's those public clans that give it a bad name.

I am being laughed at for making my money merchanting wise,
Even though I do it all solo and no clans are involved at any point.

Jagex once screwed me over when I was clan merchanting in a private 200M+ clan.
They decreased our item by 62%.
This was below the price we started.

 

You only hate merching cus you suck at it. Merching *CLANS* may fuck up the economy, but merching/flipping items on your own is a perfectly legitimate way to make money. There's nothing wrong with exercising some logic and working the market to your advantage.

That was a much more significant and noticeable action of Jagex's part.

Seems they've decided they're going to be cracking down on this sort of stuff more now, I guess. Won't affect many of the clans though; just single hoarders.

No, it isn't, for that matter.

Also, I'm pretty sure this wasn't a clan merch. Looks more like a solo buyout which was used solely to create a lot of wealth from nothing.

It's their game, they make the rules.

If they want to change the price of an item they will. This isn't the first time they've done something like this.

They nerfed mint cakes, blood tallys, climbing boots, amulets of accuracy, and now apparently this.

 

jagex is known to do this kind of thing. They fuck with the enconomy to ruin merches

 

I guess its just that the game is so addicting that jagex still has customers.

 

Why aren't they nerfing clan items? If this is a solo buy-out them in my mind the person earned the right to merch with his/her money you need alot of wealth to buy anything out so if you can do it by yourself props to you.

But he's gaining new wealth just by the virtue of owning the entire stock of some uncommonly-used item. It is a little unfair.

I wouldn't say I'm unhappy with Jagex's decision to act like this, but that doesn't mean they should go doing it left and right.

 

Remove the grand exchange. Boom simple.

Everyone was merching back before the G.E. why not just remove it? Runescape was alot more social too. Now it feels like almost robotic.
