Mixed Martial Arts

MMA is an really interesting sport.
But does anyone else watch it despite me.

Any comments such as "gay homos dry humping each other" or similar will be considered spam. If you dislike the ground-game stick with kickboxing or boxing.

I know MMA inst just the "UFC", there's still Dream, and Strikeforce. There are however no upcoming cards for those so thats why im starting off with UFC ^^.
MMA is a totally different sport than kicking or boxing. So i really hate how people compare them. Please stick on topic, thanks ^^

I love to watch MMA on Spike Tv, but the premium fights are expensive.

I personally watch the UFC, and MMA a lot.
UFC 124 was a very good event.

It was sick as hell, i mean I wondered what went through Hendersons head when Pettis was jumping in some random direction. I hope this will show people how to use the octagon more creatively

Card doesnt look like the best, but normally when it is like that it is great card of fights.

 

Im glad to see Gomi back in action. That Tyson griffin knockout was amazing.
I think the fight cards great, i see alot of great strikers for example Thiago, Vera, Leben, Marcus Davis etc. They arent afraid to standup.

Also interested to see how Diaz fights in the UFC

 

Thats not Nick, Nate has been fighting in the UFC for a long time.
Gomi was outclassed against K-FLo, but he had a great second fight, destroying Griffin. If he wins, and Guillard somehow wins against Evan Dunham when the fight in January, that would be a great fight.

 

Oh god, I read it wrong. Arent they both Jiu jutsu specialists? I know Nick is. Not sure about Nate. I think once Gomi gets the hang of fighting in a cage/octagon he'll do really well. Dunham was rob'd of a win, i would love to see Dunham win instead. I mean, Gomi Vs Dunham= KO fest.

I hate the Thiago Silva + Brandon Vera fight, i like both of them but one of them is going to get cut if they lose. Both are on lsing streaks and i'd hate to see either go. Vera has the biggest risk of being cut tho, since Thiago *might* be kept for one more fight.

Oh goodness they are brothers lol. no wonder i couldnt tell them apart.

 

I used to do Sanshou/Sanda, but I stopped, because doing Sanshou/Sanda after a Wushu class was too much for me. They usually hold Sanda/Sanshou competitions alongside Wushu competitions.

They both have very good jui-jitsu, they train at the Cesar Gracie jiu-jitsu camp with Gilbert Melendez and Jake Shields
I dont think they will be cut if they lose, because Vera arguably won the fight against Couture, and Silva is very exciting.

 

I still think Vera has a good chance of being cut nontheless. His striking inst what it was when he fought Mir. I cant wait for ufc 127. but thats 3 months away
