Any guesses?

What do you guys think will be the next new skill? I honestly have no idea, and was just thinking about it, and I'm quite curious.

So yeah, what'll the next skill be?

 

I really want a riding/mount skill if not a combination of this into summoning. I also think runescape should condense some of their skills into others. I know for myself sometimes its overwhelming imagining all the skills there are in the game. It makes me feel like I can never complete it haha

 

If I remember correctly, JaGex said this would be the last skill to come out. But knowing them, I'm sure they'll pull something out of their asses.

 

I guess that'd be cool, although that's really turning it into WoW.

I highly doubt they'll ever stop.

 

We'll, when either Summoning or Construction came out, can't remember which one, there was almost of talk about Sailing or Navigation being a future skill, I think that would be very .. Delightful

 

What would be the purpose of that?

 

Possibly to get around faster and cheaper.

 

Did you notice the lack of the large bodies of water required for "sailing"?

 

Exactly that. There's already magic, plus God-knows how many other methods of transportation. That seems pretty useless to me.

 

To be honest I don't think they're going to make another one.

 

Well whatever it is, it'll be time-intensive. Most-recent skills:

Dungeoneering: Brain-numbingly painful
Hunter: Good with bot, notice how many high-level, legit players still don't have 99. So much work
Slayer: It's like what 20k exp/hr max? Right up there with runecrafting
Farming: Not bad per hour you spend logged in, but takes months to get 99. Virtually unbottable as well (bot gets like 8k xp/hr)
Summoning: Fast once you have the charms. Charms take long-ass time to get

Construction is the one notable exception to this rule, but it takes at least 200m gp to get level 99. I doubt that they'll ever introduce a profitable or even mildly costly skill that is also at least 40k exp/hr like woodcutting or cooking

 

Rage Skill. Every update we will be able to get a maximum of 5kexp depending on the rage we put by spamming and getting mute in the game.

Cause seriously ive been addict to this game since 2004 and no since 1week i just dont give a f about this game. Updates finally killed me i dont find rs interresting anymore:S

 

Construction doesn't cost anywhere near 200M even without SC Hammers, more like 80M lol.. 40M with them.

On topic:
I can't think of any skills they've missed. Odds are it'll be something original (or as close as Jagex gets to being original) thus making it very hard for any of us to guess. If I had my way, I'd make Necromancy into a skill, sort of like a combination of Summoning and Magic.

 

Yes, but it's still possible. Also, they can add areas or bodies of water. What's to say that we can't sail on rivers?

 

Teleporting > Sailing
Fairy Rings > Sailing
Hot Air Balloons > Sailing

Seriously. Just think about it. Sailing has absolutely no practical application.

 

I wouldn't be surpriseed if there were no more new skills. If they've said there won't be then I believe it. They did a stellar job with dung and unless they can come up with another brilliant original idea there isn't much they would do enough with to warrant an entire skill.

 

I actually dislike dungeoneering...I don't even consider it a skill; it's a damn mini-game.

You can already sail down the River Lum, lol.

Start up in edgeville and cut down the tree: you can sail all the way to lumbridge.

Also, I seem to remember Jagex stating, at the release of Dungeoneering, that they would not be doing Sailing.
