Is 83/85 Slayer worth the time?

Lol. it shouldn't take you 2 weeks, 4 1/2 days at the most.
Cannon, piety/turm, extremes, and use effigys for 85. Then never use them on slay again.
Get full bandos+whip d defender/dfs+f cape.

 

Slayer is a great attribute to your account. Regardless if it's worth it or not, it'll make your account look stronger and more Superior.

 

Good choice, 90 slayer at the moment here, and it has made me greats amount of money, not to mention it has varied up combat training

 

Spirit mages are great cash. I find Abyssals to be very crowded and I've never personally gotten a whip drop. :,(
I have a friend who killed spirit mages when boots were 1m a pair until he had enough money for a purple partyhat. So they are both incredible money. Plus just from gettin 80-83/85 you will make a couple of mil in drops. Hope this helped.

Depends how much you care about cash. If your doing it just for gp then there are other methods that are better but if you also want a lot of combat exp then yes you could say it's worth it.

 

I think it's great for overall training. You make money, get effigies, and level up both slayer and combat stats.

 

Ive gotten 8 whips while botting in a 15 hour period. Very worth it.

I'd go to 85, whip drops aren't all that rare and can be a great moneymaker. If you're lazy though 83 is definitely good too, it's not uncommon to get 2 dragon boot drops (1.3m/hr) at spiritual mages.

Either lvl is worth it. If you need fast cash sp mages are pretty decent. Abby demons are good crims/exp.

 

I did it on my account a few years ago when I was training my combat up, if the prices are still good for the drops it's a better way to train than just killing fire giants or whatever.

definitely worth it. Slayer is a great moneymaker, I got hooked when I heard the dude who got 200m slay xp say he bought all his 99's with slayer in axe mans cc.
