    Ever Felt this way (School)

I Just said to one of my friends, "I don't feel like going to school tomorrow" and he said he did, because tomorrow was going to be a wicked easy day. I told him it was the same for me also, and that is the REASON that I don't want to go to school. On a day that I have a test or quiz to take I make sure to go school, or at least go to the classes I have a test or quiz in. Because I figure if you have test or quizzes the day you didn't go to school then it's going to take even more time to make everything up. Like I'm already not going to school on December 23rd because it's a do absolutely nothing day. Why should I waste my time waking up at 6 A.M. Just to do nothing, and then at the end of the day watch a Student vs Teacher Dodge Ball game that has all lame teachers in it?

Haha, true say. It's the same for me. Days when I think it will be easy and not much will be done at school, I eventually tell myself to stay home and when it comes to tests and quiz day, I force myself. It's true when you said what's the point of waking up so early and going to school when it's going to be a boring day because there are events going on that you aren't even interested in. But, when it's the last day of any vacation, I feel like going to school just because of talking to my friends for the last time before the vacations and those are the friends that I wouldn't be chilling with in the vacations.

I'm probably going to sound like your mum or something, but you should probably just go to school anyway. I haven't wagged school or just taken a day off because I didn't wanna go for years. Sure it might be a boring day but school is something you just need to pull yourself through. Remember, you only get out what you put in.

I felt like that, and i didn't go to schools on such days.

Last day of term - I had off (no one ever does anything)
Walkathon - I had off (some shitty thing we had to try to make us fit and healthy)
Sports Carnival - I had off
Swimming Carnival - I had off

Any day like those, i had off. If we had to do presentations all week in a certain subject, and i'd already presented mine, then i wouldn't bother going to that subject till everyone else is finished since i didn't want to sit there through boring presentations. People often said to me 'they do that for you', and i'm like 'yeah but i don't mind if they don't, presenting to 1 person is the same as presenting to a class in my opinion, either way the audience doesn't do shit'.

So yeah i had heaps and heaps of days off school.

I feel the same way. We're supposed to have a snow day, and I've been anticipating it all week. My school even gave a warning over the announcements about it, which never happens. Our teachers also told us the lesson plans would be cut since they're expecting no school on Monday.

So now, it's 1:30 AM (I have to wake up at like 6ish) and it hasn't snowed. Since I know I won't learn anything and I'll be tired all day, I'm about to just say fuck it, call myself in pretending to be my dad, and nap all day.

I don't really like school, I think they should make school half a year. For example, one whole year is twelve months, they should make the school year six months. One group of students will go the first six months, then the next group of students will go for the other six months. Depends on what the students choices are. During those six months, the students will take the important classes, such as Math, History, Geography, Science, English, Gym, et cetera. If a student chooses to take optional courses such as Drama, Metals, Woods, Law, et cetera, they can take those courses outside of school hours. But that's just what I think people should do.

Another idea is that, after Grade Nine, most students are pretty decently smart and know what to do at that age. They could let students choose the courses they want to take such as the optional courses instead of the mandatory courses to lead them to what they want to do when they're older.

Anyways, I dislike school due to the amount of time put into it. I went to class everyday, and if I wasn't at school, I had an excused absence. I did all my work and handed it in on time, but I have to admit, I didn't do it very well. I failed, they should have at least passed me for being at school and handing in assignments. I went to school because my parents are strict about me being at school all the time so that's why I went. If I wasn't there and was absent they would get a phone call home.

Anyways, school is important, but I think it puts too much stress on a lot of people. Those are just ideas I thought of a long time ago when I was younger.

Here's how I saw it in high school

missing an easy day is a waste of a day. It still counts as an absence in all classes, so why not miss something worth missing instead?
You would have to make up for more work, but it would be easier because you have your time to do it, rather then the teacher having to teach the whole class.

I never really understood why people choose to skip some classes.

Maybe it's because I never do a whole lot anyway, but I think I enjoy being in class; whether we're doing something or not.
