    What the fuck...

''Recently, PayPal received a notification from a user regarding unauthorized access to his PayPal account. As a result, one of the payments credited to your PayPal account has been placed in a temporary hold while we investigate the claim. PayPal constantly monitors transactions for unauthorized use of accounts in order to maintain the safety of our users.

The details of this transaction are as follows:

    Transaction Date: Dec 6, 2010
    Transaction Amount: $38.00 USD
    Buyer's Email: ********@hotmail.nl''

So yeah this noob is trying to scam me, what will happen I can't provide them with the info they want (Shipping ID, etc...) I had like 5 dollars left of that money on my account will I ever get to see it again, what will happen with the $33 left? I have no funding sources so I don't need to worry about Paypal taking the money from my bank or anything, but will I have to use another paypal? That's fucking retarded....

Unfortunately it is a little difficult to combat these disputes for virtual items as you don't have the required information (Shipping details, being your issue) and PayPal aren't exactly a big fan of virtual item trades.

Your best bet will be to call them up and tell them what's happened and hope for the best. If you lose and you have an unverified PayPal account your account may also be limited.

    Best of luck.

The same thing happened to me I replied to the dispute claiming it was for virtual goods, and the other guy never responded after opening the dispute so it went in my favor. I guess you could get lucky and hope he never responds.

Virtual item disputes just come down to he said she said a lot of the time since no physical transaction takes place.

You should dispute the claim immediately. If you have the buyers address, send a letter to the address and note down the details required, such as the shipping ID. Upload the details to paypal and show them proof that you sent the item. Do not mention that it was a virtual trade. This is legal because you have sent the item, but just a little late. The virtual item(s) you gave him/her were "free" shall we say.

If you don't succeed, then you will have to make a new paypal account.
