Is it still worth botting?

Recently a guy on sythe has posted about being rolled back. He had 97 slayer, 99 constitution, many 99 combat stats, etc and they got rolled back to 10.

He botted ranging and smithng but his unbotted stats got rolled back.
I think that just sucks and if it's probably too risky botting especially on one of your well-earned accounts that has great unbotted stats on it. You wouldn't want those getting rolled back.

Is worth the risk of getting rolled back?

 

Just depends about how much you care about the account. A good general rule is if you would be super upset if you were banned/roll backed then don't do it, if you would get over it quickly or not care at all then go for it.

 

I'm botting puro puro on a 138... that I hand-trained. Haven't had any problems so far but that guy getting 97 slayer reverted to 10 just fucking sucks... I'd be pissed.

So that's why I've stopped botting entirely and instead I;m botting on this 109 that I also have.

 

Been banned before, Ill be banned again. I cant bring myself to train any skill legit for more than 30 mins, so I bot almost everything.

So I should keep botting with moneymaking bots on my main? such as autotanner?

If I'm caught using autotanner or another money making bot, my stats won't get lowered?

I think botting is still an option as long as you're smart about it and don't do it 12 hours a day.

 

I think botting is a good way to get the stats you want while not spending as much time as you would like to on them, but its just not as satisfying when you get the level yourself. I would never bot.

I currently run it 9 hrs a day, 3 hrs 1 hr break, 3 hrs 1 hr break, and 3 hrs 1 hr break.

 

Wow, really? That's not an obvious pattern... and you just made their job a lot easier.

 

I bot for a good 12 hours then i'm off for 12 hours.

Good pattern.

 

I've been doing that for about 1 week now. No problems yet.
I'm sure it's a lot less obvious than botting for 12 hrs straight.
Also, rsbots.net, their bots don't have custom differentiated rest times like 4 hrs botting, 2.2 hrs rest, 3 hrs botting, 1.5 hrs rest. They have a steady pattern...

Edit: I don't bot, but damn you guys amaze me... not very smart with managing the time botting. Then again, what does that say about Jagex's super macro detection systems...?

 

That's why I have officially stopped botting on my 138 because I don't want his stats getting rolled back.
I'm going to need more info though, as I'm too lazy to grind out frost dragons myself for money...

 

This roll back is better then getting banned, so yes it is still worth botting.

Let me ask you this.

When you botted, you knew there was a risk of a ban, am I right?

Now you have the chance to bot, not get banned, but lose your stats.

Why are you now questioning whether you should bot or not now that they lessened the punishment?
