My Chemical Romance

Well. Last night I saw the bands Beautiful Bodies, Innerpartysystem, A Day To Remember, and My Chemical Romance. Obviously, the main bands were ADTR and MCR. I waited in the freezing cold for MCR. I love MCR and ADTR. They're actually some of my favorite bands to be honest.

It was my first My Chemical Romance concert. I've waited so many years for this concert, and it was worth the wait. Have you guys seen Mychem live? I'm a hardcore fan of them, and love everything that they put out. I really like their new cd "Danger Days." If you haven't heard it yet, I recommend it. It's a big step for their band. It's extremely different than what they usually produce. In my opinion, it's completely opposite of the Black Parade album. It focuses on the brighter side of life. The Black Parade persuaded people that they weren't alone. Danger days is just pure happiness. It's great.

What are your thoughts?

 

Lucky you. They came here once for the big day out concert a couple years back and my sister said they were amazing. I'm finding it hard to adjust to their new stuff, I guess it is a step in the right direction from their older, darker scene, though.

 

Dude ADTR... Holy shit I love them - and their ability to play peaceful acoustic songs as well as heavy amping screamo just makes them all the better. Examples would be "If It Means A Lot To You" and "Downfall of us All"... I'd kill to see those live. Never been a MASSIVE fan of My Chemical Romance, but I do like a few of their much older tunes... they went through a small phase of really crap songs in my honest opinion.

 

Oh and their cover of Kelly Clarkson's song is one of the best covers I've ever heard ^_^

 

I love ADTR. They're definitely my favorite hardcore band of all time.

 

I like ADTR, but honestly can't stand MCR or what they stand for. But thats awesome for you!

I was hoping to catch them in the UK Taste of Chaos tour, when they were still friends with The Used, but they didn't headline. However saw The Used, Funeral For A Friend, Rise Against, Killswitch Engage etc.

Best album was Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge imo.

 

That's understandable haha. I've been a hardcore MCR fan from the start. It's different for people .

My friend went to the Black Parade Tour and the opening band was Rise Against. Everybody was booing them, as they weren't on the scene that long. That's upsetting because the people who were booing them like them now.
