Tv + Runescape ?!?!

Well I was just browsing the internet and stumbled upon this :O

Yes, I've played PC games on a TV before (it's called a DVI to HDMI cable, they're fairly common...), and that's what it seems Google is trying to do with this new gadget, just make it dumber and more user-friendly.

 

Yep, if you have a new TV, you can do this.

 

yea its not that hard, if u tv has a vga input connect vga to vga. If it has a hdmi input, get a vga to hdmi cable. Your tv has to fairly new to do this

 

This is not really new. It's just big companies have the money to make everyone over-hype about their products. Such as a iPad - PC Touchscreen Tablets are not new at all but according to Apple it is a "revolution" ^_^

This would be cool if I had a TV.

As it is I just watch shows on my computer while playing Runescape. Does that count?

 

Would be nice to have this, but I don't have a HD TV where my laptop is, and why would I want a huge bot on screen?

I got a 30" 2560 x 1600 monitor so I don't need a TV

 

you know it starts to become pointless to get larger screens from 30" lol. unless your into CoD, your better off buying a TV with vga/HDmi input instead of investing in a gaming monitor [massive price difference, expensive being the gaming monitor]

 

ionno, big tvs are pretty nice
i just got a 42" 1080p in my room, ps3 and 360 look amazing with bigger screens.
if you play games you really should just save up the couple hundred bucks and get yourself a proper tv, dont skimp on smaller ones, 720, or used crappy box tvs :\
trust me, you will notice the difference after having one

 

I can do it full HD lol, but no need to my desk is to small also haha

 

I've played scape on a 42" LG LED tv
you can hook it to a computer with a regular VGA cable and use it like a monitor

It was cool, kinda dumb having the gamescreen that large tho :\

Hook up your computer to your TV and BAM!

But yes, I use my tv for a monitor all the time.

 

Wouldn't that mess up the screen with your inventory staying the same?

 

I wouldn't mind trying it out on my 50" tv.
