Not that much better, I went to try and snag one but it was way too packed. Back to botting Abyssal Demons I guess.

not better then dfs so it sucks

 

It's obviously 60 attack 60 def to wield, just like all other dragon stuff. The kb is wrong half the time so take any "knowledge" in there with a grain of salt.

 

Most people buy the dfs for the superior strength bonus and not so much defense bonuses...this really closes the gap and it's free.

Lots of people over reacting like its better then a DFS. Its not.

 

Lots of people overreacting in general. The situation hasn't really changed... if you used Defender over DFS in a certain situation, then that's the same, and vice-versa. Not sure why all of a sudden the world is going to end because the Defender isn't overpowered...

 

Dragon defender isn't overpowered.

There just happens to be a global panic because a new item is out.

 

Hamjak I don't think Rs is even close to losing popularity I bet we can expect to have a active runescape community for quite a while

The above was stated at romwiki and jagex has confirmed that it is true.

 

It seriously surprises me how they call it even an update, or why it would take them so long to implement something like this. I swear, most of JaGeX's updates could take a week to make, at very max. They probably could have done this in 2 days.

 

There are way too many people there to even get a kill. I suggest waiting a few days till it cools down a bit.

 

I thought making dragon defender the behind the scenes item for December (aka: our new years gift) is a pretty lame idea.
But for me I love it. I could now sell my DFS and replace it with this and blow the 20m I got from selling DFS on something else.

 

i was thinking the same but then again, I have this false theory in mind that Jagex would increase the rarity (decrease the drop rate) of these defenders because so many people have it now.

 

Do you even read what you type or what others type? How does that even make sense...?

Ham was saying that as a whole the updates are getting worse and worse. You know if Jagex dedicates a week's "update" to adding functions to a bank, or little graphics related stuff then they're running out of good content. I mean, seriously: "Damage Soaking and New Hit Splats"? In the past this would've come on the side of an actual good update, now this is considered an update...
