Good, when it all turns tops up for the USA, it will show them they aren't as good as they think they are, and can't say what they want.

Latest UK ones say that the British aren't appreciated in Afghanistan, if i could I would pull our soldiers out just for that, leaving them to solve it by themselves.

Good, it's about time we find out some real stuff. I'm tired of them lieing to us all the time. I know it's some times for the best but all these countries act like they are good friends and then you find out they hate each other.

I certainly don't think of it as bad.
This is what the government is doing.
If it's that big of a deal for their actions to be leaked, then I should be wary about what else they are hiding from us.

We shouldn't have access to so many things, U.S. citizens automatically assume a worst case scenario. There should be things left classified, hence why they are classified in the first place.
Although yes maybe we should start small and get some information.

So you are saying it is good for the government not to tell the people of which they govern what they are doing with their tax money and just how deep shit we are getting into?

I never said not to tell them anything, i said we should have a limited availability, albeit more than we have now but not completely undisclosed information on everything. We need to find a decent medium ground.

I'm not really opposed to the wikileaks, but it's worth noting that there is a difference between transparency of government actions and personal communications.

It's not looking good for future relations. Seems like this will conjure conspiracy amongst people of countries that america already has bad relations with, which can't be good.
On top of that the founder of wikileaks is now threatening national security with releasing more "damaging secrets"... and now there are talks about the Pentagon assasinating Julian Assange because of his potential damage and imposing risk to U.S interest? It's a mess.

When are everyone going to learn, that Assange just owns the website? He's not the one who posted the whole Cablegate thing, and then just because he refuses to delete it everyone gets butthurt.

He may not have posted it, but he does have the power to decide whether or not it stays up. Thus meaning he's involved and since he's higher up on the chain then the original poster then ofcourse people will go after him.

Still, he's still an attention whore. I'm pretty sure he's enjoying all of this thoroughly. If anything, the guy has effectively trolled the whole United States government and other countries governments as well. I mean, they mad.

CNN is a propaganda psychological operation. I knew this already but I just started watching this video and it seems like it presents the idea well enough. I've been watching CNN, BBC... and doing a lot of research on wikileaks since a couple of months before the collateral murder video. Alot of people are wondering if wikileaks itself is a psy-ops... I doubt it but it's an interesting theory.
