Screamo is fucking horrible. Thank god its being phased out, how anyone interprets someone screaming into a microphone for 3 minutes as music is beyond me..

How is it horrible? If 1 person likes it makes it good music. (to them) And if you want to go to into opinions i dont' see how anyone can listen to some person speaking fast into a microphone and then auto-tuning is even considered music.

How is it phased out? If anything it's bigger than ever.

anyways heres my favorite song atm.

I agree 100% with everything you just said. Pop/rap music is all auto-tuned. Screamo is also getting bigger every day.

Yeah those are some good bands! Love ABR! Not a huge BMTH fan, but hey, it's not about my opinion, its yours! :)

Another great band is I Killed The Prom Queen, they're on hiatus right now, but they still have some great music!

I'll have a listen to them tomorow. Never heard of them before, but I guess the best bands are always the ones that aren't really well known. :D

I feel the same way, there are thousands of great bands out there. Some just need an audience.

    Screamo

btw, screamo is somewhat considered a derogatory term to fans.

"screamo" is classified into to genre's:
    metalcore, and death metal.

Metalcore (not to be confused with '80's metals, such as metallica) is lighter, and can feature some lighter riffs, and clean vocals.
Death metal, is mostly only screaming with extremely heavy riffs.

I'm more of a metalcore fan myself. I need some clean vocals every so often.

Also, before I hear "screamo takes no skill", you try and scream like you hear in screamo songs. It's not just yelling as loud as you can, it's about diaphragm manipulation and extended exhaling (inhale is for pussies). It takes years for you to be able to scream without it sounding like fucking garbage (ISMFOF anyone?)

Anyway, here is some copypasta of mine from an older thread of some of my favorite bands/songs

Bullet For My Valentine - Tears Don't Fall / Waking The Demon
The Devil Wears Prada - HTML RULEZ D00D / Des Moinez
As I Lay Dying - Confined
All That Remains - Two Weeks / Six / Passion / The Air That I Breathe
Never See Tomorrow - Here's Looking At You Kid / To The Depths / 1000 Miles (Great Cover)
Of Mice And Men (Attack Attack!'s vocalist reform band) - Second & Sebring / Poker Face
Settle The Sky - Cheyenne (Most EPIC Breakdown)
Buried in Verona - Five Bullet Russian Roulette
    Slipknot - Sulfur / Psychosocial
Killswitch Engage - My Curse / The End Of Heartbreak

One's that I don't really listen to but friends like...

    Abacabb
    Suicide Silence
    Bring Me The Horizon
    White Chapel

I Killed The Prom Queen (broke up)

also, A Day To Remember is good, they just have too many clean vocals for it to be considered metalcore. If every song was similar to "I'm made of wax Larry, what are you made of?" they would be epic.

Attack Attack! but they overuse Autotune/Synths for it to be too much to my liking.

Great bands you listed, Listen to most of them. I agree with what you said about ISMFOF, but I mean. I can't help but like them, just because they are such a colorful/goofy band. Attack Attack! was my first introduction to any type of hardcore music. I liked Stick Stickly and that was it, all of there stuff is auto-tuned as you said. A Day to Remember is a great band, more pop than most hardcore bands. But still a great band!

    Ever heard of:

    Born Of Osiris
    Architects
We Butter The Bread With Butter
    Callejon
    A Thousand Times Repent

    -A Day To Remember
    -Of Mice and Men
    -Blessthefall

    Protest the Hero.

Great clean vocals plus amazing screams, sounds the exact same live. And the riffs for the instruments are amazing. I almost like listening to them without vocals just to appreciate the amazing instrumental part of the band.
