My first guide!

I like it. I haven't completely read through the whole thing yet, but it looks like a great guide. Also Just out of curiosity are you going out for User Educator, or just making a guide?

I thought I'd decide to go for UE, I've been here for a while and I think it's time I got myself a rank.

 

So you're doing it for the rank?

UE doesn't make you more trusted, it's more of a way to give back to the community ^.^
I've always wanted to go for it but I can't think of any useful guides for Real Life and I'm not writing trashy ones for UE

 

Why does that matter? I've always thought about making a guide, but never really had the motivation nor topic idea to do it. When I thought about becoming the UE, it gave me the motivation to sit there and type it out, find/edit the pictures, etc.

 

It matters because being a UE doesn't mean you have a shiny new rank. It means you are dedicated to helping out everyone that visits this site. Saying you want a new rank just because you feel you've been here long enough shows that your not worried about lending a helping hand, but instead your worried about your own personal status.

Lol don't lie. Everyone does it for the rank. If there wasn't a rank, people wouldn't even bother filling out the application.

Sorry, I was unclear in the way I said that then.

I was just THINKING about how rankless I was, and the thought of becoming a UE was a big motivater for me to finally create a guide. I've though of it before, but didn't know why nor what to write about. I do thoroughly enjoy helping out; getting the rank would just be a bonus.

 

I'd go for it if I wasn't a spazz. I just don't know what to write about.


Edit: Oh yeah this thread is about scanturay. Yeah your guide's a bit long, but I enjoyed the pictures.

but srs, writing guides is fun, I enjoy making things look nice [Threads] and teaching so why not ?

 

I hate it when people 'dis on the user education as a whole like this. Believe it or not there are some people that actually do enjoy helping others out, and being part of a team that mainly focuses on such activities. Also how can you just assume that all user educators applied for the rank? No disrespect, but your statement is both untrue and unfair.

 

You should have it already tbh.
