    What should I do?

I bought an account from RS2pleasnt about in Jan 09 and the original owner has recovered it and jagex have realised it has been sold since we were recovering it like 3-4 times a day and now it is like impossible to recover it back now, no one has been on the account in about 2-3 months as the xp hasn't changed.

I've spoke to RS2 and he has tried to recover it..

    What should I do?

"I bought an account from RS2pleasnt about 10 months ago and the original owner has recovered it"

If you have any proof that it was recovered, then R2 is liable and should pay you. Also the original owner should be banned.

If you dont have any proof of recovery, then i dont think you can do anything. Sorry.

    What should I do?

Regardless of if r2pleasent will be able to recover it or not.
R2pleasent is responsible for the sale of the account, if the account is not safe it is worth NOTHING.

Therefore, r2pleasent owes you a full refund of what you paid.

That e-mail should be enough proof, r2pleasent has to refund you.

    What should I do?

Yes, and if he refuses to refund you on this case you can file a scammer report.

I highly suggest you take a screen shot of that email instead of just copy and pasting.

    What should I do?

That's the problem with account businesses...

Even if the recovery test works, the account is still not safe.

Only if the original owner is truly legit, then it means something.

I suggest you contact R2 before filing a scammer's report.

Take screenshots of the email you received from Jagex, it should suffice as evidence.

If R2 does not refund you, then you can file a scammer's report.

I previously seen a case similar to this, and it had to do with r2 too, but things got REALLY messy...

Also, did you earn any more GP after you purchased the account? You can take that into consideration for more compensation.

    What should I do?

He said he can't do anything because it was bought 2 years ago?
What should be my next step?

    What should I do?

    That doesn't matter at all.
He sold an account to you so he is obligated to refund you in full if the account has been recovered by the previous owner.

    What should I do?

As a reference, I always had a disclaimer on my Accounts thread. I never claimed to be the original owner, and I always made the buyers aware that I was simply a broker of the deal.

    Link to thread: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=519748

I would always test recovery information, call the account seller at their home phone number, and request photo identification. For many accounts, the buyers still play them to this day. Others were recovered, and there's little I can do about that at the end of the day.

Furthermore, this is a transaction which took place over two years ago. I have since abandonned the account business as it is simply a cesspool for scammers.
