Cataclysm: 5 Days Before Release

I got my hands on it last night, have a look for yourself

I know this really doesn't benefit me too much other than the fact I will be one of the first on the servers with a hard copy of the game,
but who cares because everyone with the digital copy will be on as well.

Everything you see here comes in the box, you get two of each of the guest passes shown.

I have obviously blocked out the product keys....enjoy!

 

Congratulations. My brother bought me Cataclysm as a Christmas present this morning and I've already downloaded it all. Can't wait for the day to come so we can all play and see who can be the first to 85. Hehe.

Thanks, I haven't played since May, but I had Pureown125 send me a Scroll of Resurrection so I'm currently playing on the free 10 days.
I plan to subscribe again once the 10 days are complete.

Just wondering, does the disc actually install all the latest patches up cataclysm? Cause I have to reinstall World of Warcraft on my laptop and I really don't want to download gigs of updates. Just wondering since you are the only person I know with a disc

 

The disk does install almost all the data packs. After installing, it did download some in the launcher before I could start the game but luckily it was minimal. It only took about 2 minutes.

 

Oh awesome thanks for letting me know. I think I'll just go buy the actual disc instead of downloading.

I'm torn between staying retired or coming back.
I'd love to come back, but then I've been doing a lot better without WoW school wise.
Not to mention I'm busy as hell on weekdays with homework.

For everybody that is buying a hard copy of cata but wants cataclysm downloaded and installed so you can just upgrade your account via the account settings with your hard copy cd key and start playing, here are instructions I copied from wowinsider

You can start to download the rest of Cata now legally by changeing a couple of things in your WTF folder.
Before starting make sure both the game and launcher are not running.

First open the WTF folder
open Launcher.wtf
where it says "SET accountType "LK"
change LK to CT
save then close

Next open Config.wtf
where it says "SET accounttype "LK"
change LK to CT
save then close

Open with the launcher and Cata should start to download. Now you dont have to preorder to start the download early and its legal.

Idk if all the data is already there and installed with since patch 4.0.3 was released but hey, doesn't hurt
