68 Runecrafting, No Rune Mysteries

Hi, I bought an account here and the account has 68 Runecrafting, but hasn't even started the Rune Mysteries quest. How is this possible??
Account has 39 Dungeoneering so that wasnt it. Also I doubt that it was all from XP lamps, but i guess thats a possibility

EDIT: I'm also wondering if I should do the quest so that I can do varrock diary or if i should leave it uncompleted because it looks cool =)

 

Wow, that is.. strange I can't think of anyway that is possible apart from XP lamps and it is nearly impossible to get it that high with them anyway.

Yeah, I've crafted runes w/o Rune Mysteries before, when I got 50 RC for GOP on my accs. But you need Rune Mysteries to do GOP/Abyss.

 

You don't have to to the quest to RuneCraft, only to mine Essence.

 

^^ this. I didn't know it either until I was botting air runes on my lvl 3... when it hit me I never did the quest.
