48 Hour wait to reply to your own thread

I understand, but fatality point its easy .

Now you can bump every 2 days, if noone post on your thread, 2 days later you re going to find your thread on the third page, because many other threads were created or bumped.

If anyone knows mmobay forums, you are allowed to bump every 6 hours (8x faster). If noone post your thread, 6 hours later your thread its already on the second page. Because many people bumped their threads after you did it.
    ---------------------

Now another view, if noone posts your thread in 48 hoursm thats just sad, it means nobody its interested on your thread.
On the other side, hot threads gets many posts and they are on the top, because they are interesting etc.

Just have a friend bump it for you and have them delete their post after.

Support, really annoying when all the other sellers get to bump theirs and we don't even get a chance to make a new trade.

How is it sad that no one has posted...Maybe I am looking for something that not many people have or I am selling something and my thread may have no posts but that does not mean I don't have the right to bump it. If your allowed to bump a thread every 24 hours you should be able to post after 24 hours simple as that, it's the same thing.

Are you serious...Who said anything about changing the bump time to 6 hours. Do you even know what I am referring to in the title? When you make a thread and no one has posted on it yet, you can not reply for 48 hours. My suggestion is to change the wait to 24 hours that will not flood anything.

I'm pretty sure he is just setting an example that, if the reposting time changed to 24 hours, it would be similar to what would happen if it were 6 hours. The fourms would begin to flood. If the time is 48 hours, and 200 people bump per day, and we changed the time to 24 hours, that could potentially double the reposts per day.

No it would not double the bumps per a day as there are not many threads that get no posts for 24 hours. His point makes no sense. 1 Bump per 24 hours is the rule so you should be able to bump your own thread that has no posts after 24 hours, it will not effect anything at all.

Agreed. As per the by-laws, you may bump once every 24 hours.
    This feature impedes this law.

    Support.
