Just tell her the truth because if you tell her a lie like "We need time" or "I need to make up my mind", and you don't love her anymore you'll just bring up her hopes on returning, and you sound like you woudln't return with her in the nearly future. So, just be honest with her.

I'm sure you're a good guy and wouldn't even consider doing this anyway, but don't lie to her or "twist the truth." It'll just cause issues. Just tell her your reasons to why you want to break up with her.

 

Everyone who has ever been strung around about a relationship knows that it fucking sucks. Best advice I can give is don't do it. That "I need some time" or "We need some space" line only stresses her out. Pretty much what was already said. Just tell her what's up.

I think that the best way and I suppose easiest way might be to just text her and let her know nicely that its not really working out atm. It's best to just be straightforward. Let her know that you still think she's pretty etc but you just don't think that its really working out right now. Don't make up excuses or lies just be honest. If all else fails at least you will know you were true to yourself for being honest and straightforward about it.

 

Either this or tell her you lost feelings for her and it isn't working out.

 

Get her in a good moment, sit her down and tell her.

Don't text or do it over the phone, because it will make you look immature. If she sees that you are capable enough of breaking up with her to her face, then she will respect that.

All I can see is, you shouldn't feel bad. Yes of course you've shared deep feelings for her in the past, but that was the past. Sometimes you need to be selfish to get through life. When it comes down to it, all the things you do, ultimately, you do it for yourself. Don't always base your decisions on other people's feelings. Do things that will ultimately make you happy in the end. Because if you're not happy, then what's the point of anything...

The longer you continue the relationship, the more you're leading her on to believe it's something serious. The sooner you break up with her, the less painful it'll be for both of you.

I just broke up with her today, we were hanging out and i said the truth that i don't like her anymore, she said ok, then i just said we can still be friends
