Why def update will not affect pures/zerkers

Here is my reasoning

1. Most powerful shield such as dung shield at lvl 80 dung and def only absorbs up to 20 percent damage.

2. Even if powerful armour that absorb more than divine were introduced, it would be harder to obtain than divine. Jagex isn't going to make corping useless. If it is harder to obtain than divine then people wouldn't risk it in pvp
Most likely, they would have less effect than divine or even a dung shield and require high def.

3. By this reasoning 20 percent damage is most it will ever absorb. say 400 hit would be 300, and this is with maxed gear.

4. Maxed zerkers and pures could easily overcome this 20 percent damage reduction.

Most likely range armour, mage armour would get absorb too. So mage armour would absorb melee damage and range would absorb mage. This would make hybriding more useful.

Zerkers and pures have access to d hide and will get some boost.

So unless jagex makes divine useless which makes corp useless which they wont do. This new thing for defense won't matter too much.

80% of 400 is 320, not 300. And People can stack their armor's absorbance bonuses. 20% shield, but who knows how much their other armor will stack on top of it.

 

I really don't think it's going to have the huge effect that everyone seems to think it will. I think it's more of helping mains who get rushed by maxed gear + claws.

I think this will definitely help my Summoning tank No more crazy lucky hits with CVLS

 

i'm pretty jacked for it. bout time they balance out the insanely over powered new weps. pking will probly be fun again

 

PvP fights are gonna take alot longer...not that I care I suck at PKing :O

 

Hmm. Am I the only one who understood the update as pertaining only to Dungeoneering?
