Why couldn't we have planes 500 years ago? We could be living on mars now.
    dumb question.

I think it's awesome that they are developing it. They just came out with airbursts for ground-to-air anti-aircraft weapons systems like 3 years ago. I'm glad they're using it for urban warfare.

Not, a good idea, just another weapon for the enemy to get there hands on. So while we think we are hot shit, because we have a "Grenade Launcher" we are actually going to be running, because knowing America, the enemy will have it before us.

America has beaten the rest of the world to the punch on many things, including the atomic bomb, sustained flight, motorized vehicles, should I go on?

The only other countries to have made breakthroughs before the U.S are other superpowers; Russia, Germany, China, etc.

The middle east has nothing the U.S. doesn't have. The only way they could get one of these grenade launchers is if they take it. Although they will only have a few shots because the grenade launcher doesn't shoot universal ammunition. It is specially made for the weapon.

Also, you're implying that we shouldn't make technological advances in weaponry because then the enemies would eventually get a hold of the new weapons systems. I really don't feel like explaining why this is a dumbass comment. It's self explanatory.

Please fucking think before spreading your ignorance.

You would be very narrow minded to think that this weapon could win the war. First off, the war is in my opinion impossible to win. Were not fighting a countries army, they wont surrender as a whole, they are not mainstream about their tactics etc. We find and fight them in small patches, if we get ahead, they hide and regroup. Were on their ground, they have the advantage. As many whacked out radical terrorist as there are over in that region, one dies, another one is there to replace him. Its just not going to happen, they are fighting for something they believe in, were there because our government thinks that we have to be the principal residing over the world. Yeah, 9/11 sparked it, but if it were just about 9/11 we would have got in there and got the job done quickly. Its more than that.

    Well, enough of me ranting.

On topic, I think this new weapon is getting alot of hype, without being able to put out. It kindof reminds me of the apple ipad.

    Care to explain why?

OT: That thing looks insane I would defiantly leave a brown stain in my pants if that thing was pointed in my direction.

Whats the point of this tho? We are already "winning" the war? Speed the process up i guess.

Badass haha, this is how you win wars right here. All we need now is a tommy gun that can fire bullets with tiny nuclear warheads for tips.

Eh they had a similar design 10 years ago but the specifics of this one are much more sophisticated in the targeting system which is really the only thing that changes on guns these days besides the minor adjustments.

I guess that MW2 was realistically correct in having grenade launchers so overpowered...

Pretty crazy weapon, makes me wonder how warfare will be like in 50 years.

I don't see how the ladder works for your argument. Notice how Russia, China and Germany all have hostile relationships with the U.S.A. By the U.S stepping up the advancement of weapons technology, it changes the precedent of other countries as well. Since our development of the atom bomb, those countries have take interest and have developed several weapons of similar caliber. What we've done is created a weapon that could eventually come back to destroy us. Yes, the U.S should be commended for being the first to create better technology but that also allows the enemy time to replicate and even better the technology. At this level of destructiveness, yes we're saving a few lives but at the risk of the enemy obtaining such weapons and using it on the entire body of the U.S? It is thanks to the development of these weapons by the U.S that everybody is so scared to make a move or risk nuclear warfare but eventually the line will be crossed and the destruction of the world will be on our conscious.

It's a wise move for USA in my opinion. They need things like this to show that they aren't just messing around. I am also up for anything that brings as many troops as possible back home.

Well it doesn't seem like there are too many people here who know a lot about guns/have seen this one.
    1. WHAT THE F**K? You don't attach an assault rifle to a grenade launcher, it's the other way around (there was a gun like this or it was this that had an assault rifle attached to it)
    2. It's huge, and way to bulky. Makes no sense
    3. Ammo will cost a lot more, and obviously making that rifle will cost more than normal too considering it has optics already built in to it, unless it's removable like the Tavor's optic
    4. For everyone who thinks they are buying enough to supply the army, your wrong. It's really supposed to replace whoever in a squad would be using an M203 or any other explosive device like that
    5. This gun will most likely never be finished. We see news about it all the time but nothing is done

Sorry for the rant, early morning always makes me rant.
