Have _'s removed from names [PREVENTS IRC ACCESS]

Give me fair points why _'s shouldn't be allowed to be removed from names.

My name is I_DONT_BOT, and I cannot access sythe's IRC channel, as I have _'s in my name. That's a lame reason, and is kinda unfair. Seeing as I have donated to sythe, and I am an active user, should I have to make a new account, and start from scratch, just to access the IRC, or should I be allowed access on this account. It's not like I'm banned from it or anything.

Please give support if you have a _ in your name, or if you don't, and agree with me.

It will make sythe IRC have a few more people in it .

1 solution make an account called Idontbot or i dont bot and use it only for IRC access?

 

Although I don't have any _'s in my name and do not have any problems accessing IRC, I still support this suggestion. Maybe the _'s can be replaced with spaces (if you can access IRC with spaces in your name)? I don't think a minor change from _'s to spaces will be a big deal, in fact, it really isn't. It's not like they're asking to have their names changed from I_DONT_BOT to Jacobizc00l.

Nope, this is my first one, and I can't find any recent ones about this. Just made a rant before in the IRC thread.

Support. How ever it happens that needs to be changed. You obviously don't want countless users not able to access the irc.

 

I think that IRC isn't running atm anyway, Was always empty when i went in there. Just because this effects everyone I'll support but some names may not be able to remove it as its a conflict of other user's.

 

If this problem occurs, maybe add a 1 on the end of their name?

they should also ban' _' from future account creations to avoid it happening to other's or even just have a warning about it.

I support either having the _'s removed or some other method be arranged so that these members can use the regular Sythe.org aspects such as the IRC like everyone else. I do believe you have a reason to be upset.

 

I believe that the IRC has been taken down. Not sure.

 

and just an FYI sythe can't control that... its a IRC rule now a sythe rule..

EG. You should be allowed, but leecher #1 not.
Person must be of value to the community.

 

Support as well. I can't access irc either and I dont think changing them to spaces would be much trouble. Can you access irc with dashes in your name? Maybe underscores could just be changed to dashes.
