I helped make Jagex nerf an item.

Talismans old buying limit: 5k per 4 hours.

New buying limit: 500 per 4 hours.

If you want to test it, buy 1k earth tallys at max or something, you will get an even 500 with cash back. GF tallys as a merch item lol.

 

Congratulations! May I ask why you felt important to help them nerf this item though? I'm curious.

Oh I didnt. Nature/law/air/cosmic tallys all got merched within a short time frame (one of which I was involved with), and almost all of the went 5x or over because they were a great merch item. Jagex noticed this, so killed them by lowering their buying limit.

Well cause my partners and I merched one of them, and Jagex doesnt much care for manipulating the GE.

Yup, its actually a pretty big deal to be honest, Tallys were a favorite of alot of people.

Ahh, it seems Jagex was serious about slowly stopping Merch Clans. I wonder what will happen to the big merch clans such as Smokin Mils, etc.

 

Their merches seem successful enough even when they do barrows items or other things with ~100/4 hrs limits.

I don't think it will affect them a whole lot.

 

Ya its a small step on Jagex's part, but it does hinder some people plans who I know in game : P

 

well,1st i got 0 knowledge on merching except the basic tutorial given by NPCS,but i think i will go on and take ur advice and try to merch these item

 

I am definitely advising AGAINST merching these lol.

 

Damn.. I used to flip cheaper talismans but now its kinda impossible.

 

Don't think this will really do much to stop merchanting clans in the long run, they'll just keep moving to higher priced items.

 

It inhibits private groups of players who do buyouts, doesn't really inhibit merch clans at all.

Their creation of mass demand forces prices up, while the small group of players attempts to force prices up by holding the entire stock of the item.

The players require a much higher ge buy limit for them to be able to pull off their merchs efficiently.
