Why do people 'babysit'?

I have two monitors, one for the bot and the other one I do my things. So, I can see if anyone is talking to me and respond, and if I ever get stuck in a random one day, I'll see it.

For me, I just do my own thing while I TV my bot from my iPod Touch.

Like somebody else said in the thread, it gives me a boost of self confidence that I won't get banned.

 

It really doesn't help that much if you "Baby sit" your bot but if some one starts talking you can answer them and possibly prevent them from reporting you, which in the long run could save your account.

 

I really don't understand why people babysit either, the whole point of a bot is to let you get away from having to stare at RS for hours on end. I do not babysit my bot. But I use RiD so I am not worried about a ban either. Botted 99 smithing, 99 mage, 99 str, 99 att, 99 hp, getting close to 99 mining and made 150m.

 

Well i have a quite large computer screen, i am able to see my bot botting while playing 'instinct pk' client at the same time.

Gives me that little more Anti-Ban because i am able to reply to people that talk to me. But i hardly ever babysit i just chuck the bot on when i wake up and turn it off when i go to sleep. I'm ushally out and about all day.

 

So if someone starts talking to them, and they are using NeXus or anything besides RiD they wont get banneda as easily

 

they cant tell if you logged in via Swiftkit or say Powerbot's client. to them it reads the same.

 

But how would you know otherwise? Is this just an assumption or do you really know?

 

totally agree with u , babysit while botting is a very good way to prevent banning,but there is still risk as jagex auto detect bot system catches u,but well babysitting really lower the chance of u getting banned since u wont get caught by user....but when i babysit,i still watch movies,surf facebook and watch youtube...i m not blinly staring at the rs screen....

 

That's the thing, I can almost immediately spot someone botting, so it's an easy report for anyone if they wanted to.

 

Yeah I agree, what's the point of Botting if your going to sit at your pc all day anyway

 

The reason why most people babysit is that they are using free bots, and are prone to have problems.

The people who use premium bots, generally don't babysit.

 

To talk to the idiots who like to waste their time that they have running around RuneScape reporting botters when they can do something useful with their account rather than suck Jagex's dick.

I babysit it just for peace of mind. I am always paranoid of it getting stuck and clicking one thing the whole time I'm away.

 

I check my bot every 6 hours or so to see if it's still running, but that's about it. The way I look at it, if you bot and waste your time babysitting it, then you might as well play legit.

 

I babysit because i just stay home. If i dont then ill let it go by itself. But im home on the weekdays so why wouldn't i babysit?

OFC i browse the internet while babysitting

 

i babysit for 5 mins... make sure its working. then turn it off

 

What good is a bot if you turn it off after 5 minutes?

 

randoms and people talking to u or bot messing up, its common sense..

 

Because they have no life and are lazy therefore just buy the bots so they don't have to click
