Regarding temp ban (RWT minor)

I don't think they will be held accountable as the risk is always there when buying accounts/services/gold. I'm sure they will have T&C's stating this. Jagex account is always risky, I have 3 accounts I play on there but when one got a minor RWT ban, none of the others were affected. Guess it depends on the severity of it. I'd suggest speaking to a sythe mod on that though in a dispute or private message. Im just giving my thoughts as someone who often buys services/gold. Sorry for your loss on this.

 

PlayerAuction is defintely not the place to buy. I havent bought recentely but am looking at it again and found this thread and this comment stuck out to me. I purchased from Chicks as well back in Nov 22. In fact i only purchased from them since they had the cheapest prices which in hindsight was not the smartest decision to be frugal when it comes to RMT. i received 2 warnings in a ~3 month purchasing period that i did not notice until my last transaction so i knew the goose was up. This was for Rs3

I put some trades up on GE to slow buy, i think i insta bought some pve upgrades as well then spent the rest of the cash stack on spirit shards. RMT (minor) ban hit me the day after this purchasing spree so i got lucky on that front i guess. came back, cash pouch empty. Spirit shards that i bought were all gone. what was left over in the stack was the amount i had before the purchase so it looks like they do track spirit shards IF the seller trades you in spirit shards. out of the 4 trades i did, that was the first time i got spirit shards+cash so i would imagine that is a factor. items in GE left untouched so it seems the best thing to do is buy items. Spirit shards seem to be safe from what i've read unless it was part of the trade.

Recently had a RWT ban (minor) on a high-level account w/membership for years. First ban I have received at all despite trading billions of gp throughout the years. I confirm Jagex removed all acquired wealth (the exact amount).

 

to add on to this, they will take the exact amount even if you no longer have it, they will liquidate assests and clear your GE to get it.

i bought 2bill recently from a discord on here thinking this was the best possible option. high level account and low volume trades compared to other sellers. bought Straight 2BILL GOLD i had ~800m of my own cash. i bought premier membership with it which was my original purpose since its cheaper and i will have ~500m left over. I then spent ~700m on pvm stuff and a few bonds.

now i got hit with an RMT(moderate). i did not have 2bill cash on me. they removed my remaining cash stack, I had a few Rasial drops on the GE i was selling when i came back they definitely sold from checking my history and was cleared out. They also cleared out some buy orders to get the cash. So don't think you are being clever liquidating the "dirty gp" they will get their slice. In fact i think they took more then what i was flagged for as punishment since they even cleared my alch machine gp and they took my spirit shards even though that wasn't part of my initial trade. i know i had ~600million gp gold before i got hit so it they either took the exact amount or grabbed whatever they could to get close to it.

either way i can now say with confidence once you escalate past warning status your account is permanently flagged. if you get a rmt(minor) just go ahead and stop

 

Why did you not do the first trade using a higher lvl alt/older acc? I would have used a alt purchased ex: 5b... spent the 5b ASAP within 10 mins on all the item I needed and made sure the rest of the account (alt) has NOTHING anywhere except the few items purchased worth a lot of gp and then i would let the account sit for a few weeks and see what happens.

the way i read your post:
-Jagex Took ALL CASH + ALL SPIRIT Shards.
-first, took your gp in pouch/bank/alch machine and any other stored GP
-Sec, your offers in G.E did not sell (so it's gp sitting in ge), they took
-third, your rasial sold when u were banned, so it became GP (so they took)

HOWEVER,

Q: did they directly.... go into your bank withdraw anything you prev owned (expensive gear, rares) and sell this to get GP?

Q: Using the 2b u bought, did you buy a single high lvl item? ex: seismic wand, and left this in your bank and then when unbanned did they take this item recently purchased with the bought GP or no?


it seems like they don't touch recently bought items OR old items you had before... they only go after all sources of GP and spirit shards (and will clear offers in G.E because it leads direcrtly to GP for them). but everything else is still safe....


so, doesn the tactic not seem wise: spend ALL GOLD and ALL SPIRIT shards ASAP into items, runes, ammo or anything to hold for a while. and keep your gold less than 30m for a month or so and use what you have on the account and later on month or 2 sell extra things.... if you have no gold and no spirit shards and no ge offers... what are they going to take? nothing?


Edit: the reason i say this is because if u look at all thread of people being banned over past year on this forum, every 1 loses GP or spirit shards... i have never seen 1 post of a person having a ITEM removed that they aquired recently or long ago.... UNLESS possibly the item they purchased directly like 1 party hat... even so that was more of a perm for them than directly losing the item..and i think this was 1 person only on forum..

 

Yesterday I got hit with a 3 day rwt 2.5b I did get a warning never noticed it obviously till now. I hate they inconsistently take ur coin purse or all ur gold I'm worth well over 2.5 b

 

i always look when i log into lobby. there is a mailbox in the top "1" if you have any new message from them. they don't take ALL ur coins, just the coins u purchased... and its sometimes they do this.. not always 100 percent.. who did u use? to buy?

 

Thx for response used players auction high tier trader too and level I did two or 3 Trans with in the past45 days prob why. However I've done it before and nothing I should look to see when I got caught with the dates I bought to see what amount I bouhht for that time to cross reference how much they may take I bouhht 2.5b this time though and I only have 2.4b left because I had my own money too I hope they leave some or all lol.

 

when u get unban after 3 days, update here for us and tell us what happen if u lost anything.

Read ur notice on the ban from them. if it says "items will be removed" then most likely they will take 2.5 or whatever u purchased. If it doesn't say it should be ok.

also, like i said above. i would always use a ALT to trade and wait a full week before trading to main. and most important: do not leave cash or spirit shards on ur acc. just have like 50m or less in ur bank in GP and rest purchase items just to hold and wait.... like i said too i never seen them remove items... on any post...

also, player auctions is really bad i heard a lot of people on here from posts get warns or bans. i'd use the guys on scythe. i bought 2 times in past 45 days as well. maybe 3 im good so far...

 

I was good for so long bro too with players then bam. It says wealth will be removed I've seen tons of people read the same saying and lose nothing and others wiped banks lol. I'll update tmrw will full info.

Bought 13b on my main from G2G (high profile seller) got hit with RWT Minor. Message saying: Your account has been temporarily banned and wealth has been removed for Real World Trading in RuneScape. Should you continue to exhibit this behavior, further action will be taken against your account.

It saying Wealth got removed meaning: 13b will be gone that i had bought or my WHOLE cashstack?

 

they only remove what u bought and if you have less in GP and shards than 13B, they will only take the leftovers.. i never heard of them taking items of higher value over the years. but they will clear out ur ge offers and anything else that holds gold temp...

whats the full story? give details, who u buy. how long u get warn or ban? also post the results after ur unban. i always say to spend all ur gold and shards onto ANY items once u trade finish before logging out OR did u get a DC?

ps: i think there is also a chance u won't clear it. sometimes u get this message and they don't do shit. its luck of the draw...also u should ALWAYS buy on a alt and wait a few weeks.
