Operation: Spotlight (PLEASE READ. THIS IS A PLAN TO GET BACK AT JAGEX FOR ROLLBACKS)

I ended up recreating this thread in the official Runescape forums on my main until I received a temporary forum ban:

"Because Jagex has failed to announce their knowledge of this bug and because there is no rule or moderator post stating that creating threads related to this bug will result in the thread being hidden I reserve the right to recreate my thread under the impression that it has been unjustly hidden and I deserve respect as a player of this game. I will continue to recreate my thread every time it is hidden until I am instructed to stop by a moderator who answers the questions contained hereunder.

Forum post 250-251-0-61111833 states:



We need to know what is going on with stat resets. We post forum topics inquiring about it and we sit in awe as they get mercilessly hidden without even one word from a moderator. There's a moving plot by Jagex here, and they are a faction feeding off of our cluelessness. Jagex is trying exceptionally hard to keep this out of the scope of the public eye. The theory that reporting your rollback as a bug will get you banned is total nonsense. If they rolled your stats back they had significant proof to begin with that you were botting (or doing whatever it is you were doing deserving a stat roll back although above you can see Mod Kat mentioning that XP removal is not allowed). Therefore, if they had enough reason and information to roll your stats back they would have enough to permanently ban you without having you send in any type of report. We know that players are being banned for macroing even after these mysterious "roll backs" started (which we attribute as a counter-measure to botting [bullcrap]) so the question arises: what differentiates those players from the others who only received roll backs as punishment?

The fact that Jagex has not mentioned anything about the roll backs on the forum is peculiar because they have always mentioned things like "we've permanently banned 10000 botter accounts this week" or "we've implimented a new system to detect botters". The fact that they DO NOT answer on any topics and hide them instantly is a very odd action on their parts.

Now, because thousands of accounts were rolled back to arbitrary levels (some on only one stat and some on all), some left with items only attainable with levels much higher than those rolled back (skill capes and fire capes), makes for an explanation involving Jagex accidentally breaking something (or everything, as usual). They're covering up a big fault I think and that's the problem.

Threads like 250-251-408-61942926 have posts hidden in their entirety because of their relevance to the stat roll back.

 

It's there game, they can do whatever they want.

If they don't want the truth to get out there they don't have to say a thing.

 

They have always informed the community of changes to bot detection systems, banned botters, punishment changes, etc.

They're hiding something big here. It's about time they open their mouthes.

 

If skills were botted on these accounts then I see no problem in them being reset.. lol

 

It's not only botters. Legitimate players are experiencing stat roll backs without a word from Jagex. Any attempt on reporting the roll back is returned with a ban and topics on the forums are hidden.

 

Sorry, but this'll NEVER work.

All you will succeed with is getting your accounts banned.

 

Rollback's is 100% better than perm ban for me,but they should'nt do accounts like 10 def barrows gloves and turmoil

 

I'm going to have to agree with you, but most rollbacked accounts get perm ban later on.

 

Yeah but people are surprisingly quick to sell them when it does happen..

 

Why are you making such a big deal about it? Just be glad you weren't banned.

Operation: Not Gonna Work

 

We already know it's not a bug.

Also, Jagex CAN edit our stats. They say they can't just because they don't want to deal with so many stolen accounts. The reason they aren't announcing it publicly is because they're trying to convince us the the botting programs are at fault for the rollbacks.

Aaand that's about all I have to say.

This is gonna fail, but if it happens to me ill join.

 

This is stupid, by putting the spotlight on yourselves you are just going to get banned, be happy you just got a rollback.

We have known since they came out that rollbacks are Jagex's doing they just claim its a bug caused by botting clients to try and scare the less tech savvy users into not using the bots anymore. Best way to stick it to Jagex is to just keep on botting and hope to have a beast account. Getting yourself banned will accomplish nothing.

 

If only you put this much thought and curiousity into your own government instead of worrying about ur purez str@atk lvlz r l0wrd!!!
