Sythe Logo Transparency ? HELP PLEASE !

Hello sythe GFX community.

Before spamming LEECHER, please take into consideration i have been using sythe for a long time however i just gotten back into GFX and the whole Black Market. When i tried to log on i completely forgot my log on details.

Anyway, to the point. In the Sythe Avatar i have a white background however in photoshop it is all transparent ? It views on my computer with a transparent background aswell. So i would like to know if therse a way of uploading a avatar with a transparent photoshop CS4.

Try saving it in .PNG format, or look through the settings while saving it for 'Web and & Devices'

 

thats how i saved it in the first place but theres still a white background

 

Manually make the background the same color as the Sythe background?

It's easy enough to do, even with paint.

If you're going to do it, do it right...

Make SURE the background is transparent. Make sure it's checkered.

To be sure, in photoshop, File>New>Background Contents: Set to Transparent

Make sure there are no semi-transparent pixels on another layer. You would still be able to see the checkers if this was the case. To check this, make a new layer at the bottom of all your other layers and fill it with red. Now hide and unhide all the other layers and see if the red gets darker or lighter. If so, you have some semi-transparent pixels that you need to erase.

Make sure your saving as a .png. File>Save As>Format>PNG (*.PNG)

To be sure, upload your image to another image hosting website. My favorite is http://piclion.com/.

I took the colour of the sythe forum and did it like that but i would still like to know how i can get the transparent background. But thanks for the suggestion

Usually your transparant avatar is oversized then (more than the allowed 80x80). When this occures, Sythe has to resize the avatar for you, and this will include that your transparancy will be lost.
