What anti-virus software do you use?

I use NOD32.

 

I had Panda Antivirus.

 

Avast has worked out pretty well for me

Came free with my laptop, and it's pretty good too.

I used to have kaspersky, now I use Spyware Doctor PCTools

 

This. Norton is shit and uses like 50% of ur CPU runnin in the background, its for overprotective parents who wana ban everything to there kids. AND its expensive as hell

 

I have used Norton and Kaspersky. I like Norton's interface better but it detects many things that are not viruses as viruses. I would suggest Kaspersky.

I assumed it because you say an antivirus slows down your computer. They barley use any resources and I don't even notice slowdown..

 

Microsoft Security Essentials. It's great and not a resource-hog.

 

I still use a Pentium III for some stuff, so it's a bit different for me.

I use AVG free addition and I do indeed love it, works well.

 

eset nod32 is by far the best out

I have Malware Bytes, Windows Security Essentials, and Avast. I also run CCleaner daily. While i'm sure you could break down each application and pick a "best" one according to the data, the safest way is to have several of them, if that is economically feasible for you. I use the free version of Malware Bytes and CCleaner has always been free. (if i'm not mistaken, i've only been using it for a year)

 

Windows Security Essentials and Norton. I run CCleaner as well.

 

Having two AVs is stupid. They will conflict with each other and cause problems.
