Short movie competition ideas?

I got a Flipcam last year for christmas and I've barely used it.
My sister recommended that I enter a young film makers competition which is being held throughout Ireland.

I'm thinking it could be a good idea and could be really fun, but I'm wondering what ideas I could use?
