I brought a runescape account of a irl friend...

And he recently scammed it back, What should I do.. It's going to be kinda awkward going up to him and saying fuck you for scamming it back because he won't even admit it, He will just say I must have been hacked. But I know it's him.

 

Why diden't he give you the recovery info when you bought the account from him?

 

Wow, this is a very difficult situation...

Although he will never admit, you can make things very difficult for him, to the point where he will not be able to stand it anymore and return you the account.

1) Tell his parents about the whole thing. If he sold to you the account and recovered it, it is as good as theft. His parents will probably have a good talk with him and make him return the account if they are good parents.

2) Try confronting him first. If it doesn't work, try spreading this incident to his friends/people or even teachers ( if you guys are in the same school ).

That's all i can think of.

I suppose if you actually paid quite a sum for it, you could go to the police.

 

He did, Already recovered it. That's how I know it's him because it showed his IP when I logged in, But then a few hours later he got it back again and then I tried to get it back again and it failed.

 

Yes the account cost $350 I know it's probably not much to you guys. But to me it is. I've thought about confronting him but he I know he will never admit it so there is no point, I can't really go to his parents because he's moved out of home and we both go to UNI so there is no point telling teachers. Also I think the police could do nothing about a online trade.

I suggest you threaten him with the police first.

If he still doesn't budge, just make the report.

I'm pretty sure it is actually considered of theft as the trade involved money.

Say you saw the IP when you recovered it the first time then go on about how you gave him 350$ and say you want your money back and if he says no then take his computer imo you cant do college stuff without your computer

 

honestly do whatever u have to do to get the money back. Even if you loose him as a friend (you shouldnt care because he seems like a dick )

I wouldn't consider him a friend anymore obviously. But solution beat his ass to be truthful.

Tell him you saw the IP that recovered the account and you know its him.
Once you get him to admit he recovered it, threaten him physically for your money back.

If he doesn't admit it, threaten him anyway.

When you have physical access to someone it's very easy to confront them. Even if he's bigger/stronger than you, it doesnt matter. What's he going to do? Beat the shit out of YOU after stealing 350$ from YOU? After pressure he WILL fold. Don't think 'oh its a lost cause'.

 

Don't be afraid, $350 is a lot to loose out on .. either ask him for the money or account back. He clearly isn't that much of a friend to you, stand your ground. Good luck.

 

I would confront him and try to get something out him. If that doesn't work, nothing will, police wont get involved with something they know they can't solve.

 

Make him do a recovery and get the account back. If he can't do that then get your money back. If he is still being stubborn threaten to call the police and do if he doesn't give it back.
