Display names

Is it possible to change a display name from a banned account if you applied membership to it?

resulting in you obtaining your banned accounts screen name onto another account? does anybody know if its possible or not?

 

No it's not possible, but eventually (I believe it's around 30 days) the display name gets removed from the banned account and can be recycled - although there's no guarantee you'll get it before some other random person does.

 

Well, lets say this account was banned in 2008, i've tried using that display name and it says its unavailable, i checked hi scores and theres nothing, i'm pretty sure no one else has it, so where could the display name have gone then?

P.S. the display name is the login name of the banned account

 

If this is possible then i could have a few good rare names..
