Percasets

Okay; so I have this friend. A best friend. She has a pretty fucked up life, and cries to me, confides in me, quite often. When I first met her I thought her best female friend was beautiful, and that they were tight as can be. But when I got closer to her, she told me she thought her friend was a total bitch, and only put up with her in school because she's known her for years and it'd be too hard to get rid of her, they never hang out outside of school.

Well i'm still a guy, hormonal, etc, so I got her number anyway. But then my friend told me that she takes percasets on the weekends...

I've heard of a lot of pills, never done any of them, but i've known a few people who've done some, especially adderol (misspelled...).

I'd like to know what percasets actually do to you, how dangerous they are, and what they're intended to be used for. I've found a bit on google but if you could clarify and perhaps include a personal experience i'd appreciate it!

 

You may get more help in the Personal Assistance Forum, but Percaset is a hardcore pain relief drug. I know a lot of people who say they take it for migraines and such, but I never believe them. Depending on how many she takes, she may be a druggie. If you take like 1 per 4 hours, its what they are prescribed for, more than that she is probably looking for a pretty big high. Taking 1 is not much of a high, more of a buzz.

Her mom stays out of her private life, she can get any guy she wants to, solid B or higher student, plenty of friends...

Obviously you can OD on them, but how easy is it to die/get injured from them?

Percs are pretty much the same as oxycotton.
Last month I had been taking T3's with codiene which is a drug for pain. Similar to Percs but both are highly addictive. They both are a Narcotic, now that being said since I have taken 30 T3's in a matter of 10 days and they just made me feel tired and helped me relax and sleep better. I don't know if she's takin them for that reason or actually needs them.

In your first post, you say she has a pretty fucked up life. In the next one, you don't know what her problem is, since she seems to be pretty grounded.

Any idea what might be causing this possible physical pain, or depression?

I have great respect too this guys bravery, bit of info you might find helpful, i think this guy is really honest.

 

Percs are pain meds, my dad had them after he got major knee surgery, I've taken a few before but they didn't do much for me.

If you can't think of any obvious reason for her to take them, she probably takes them just for the high. But I couldn't really tell you how dangerous that is unless I know how much she is taking.

 

If she uses percs on the weekends, it's probably drug abuse. Seems like she is in some serious stuff, so I would be careful. On the otherside, the chick you are talking to could be talking trash or making up lies about other girl because she likes you... you never know

 

Like I said before percs and T3's (I just took a T3) are similar so both are gonna help ease pain and make u relax. There both narcs so there gonna do pretty much the same thing.

 

As others have said, Perks are narcotics. They have effects similar to heroine and oxies. They make you slow, sleepy, and are highly addictive. I don't think you should be trying to get into a relationship with a girl who is hooked on pharmaceuticals. Might be a bit much to deal with.

 

As South Park puts it.. "drugs are bad mmmk." And honestly, how long do you think your relationship will last? How many times do you think she'll drag you into her drug problems? Will you be able to resist the peer pressure of trying them?

From what I've heard, these types of drugs can be very dangerous if taken in overdose, and some people have deadly reactions to the drug in their body.

Shes a recreational drug user... I would hate to think you would disregard someone based solely on that. Seeing as she is taking percs, which aren't terribly potent as far as painkillers go, and only using on the weekends, I wouldn't think she is addicted or a "druggie" It's possible to use drugs on a recreational basis and still be a good person and a functioning member of society. If, however, she starts using like a fiend I would cut off all contact with her. No one needs that.

 

I'm the kind of guy that would increase contact and try to save her. I don't see how you could abandon such a person.

 

You'll think differently if you ever actually go through that with someone. It kills friendships.

 

It's quite selfish to come in and become a self-proclaimed hero. It doesn't even sound like you know her very well. Don't kid yourself, you think she's attractive and want to fuck her. Don't make it out to be some valiant act of saving the girl's life. She isn't looking for someone to come save her, nor are you the person suitable even if she is.
